I highly recommend reading Manning Johnson's 1959 essay Color, Communism, and Common Sense.

Johnson was a black man on the inside of the US communist party in the 50's and details how race has been intentionally used to divide us for a very long time.

We are seeing the results of seeds planted nearly a century ago.

Of course, the original idea behind the rise of communism was a workers' revolt, but in the US especially, the workers were happy enough with their lot. So it wasn't going to ever happen that way.

The Marxists have instead worked to stoke that revolt through race/class/religious/sexual orientation type divides. Critical Race Theory and similar will all be working toward that same goal -- stoking the fabled workers' revolt to fuel the rise of a Marxist type state.

That's why they label anything and anyone who actually likes the old US system under the COTUS as "white".

I'm not ashamed to be a white man. I didn't have any choice in the matter but If it had of been left up to me, I would have chosen a nice pastel shade of turquoise.

Any and all opposition to global corporate fascism is white supremacy. Clearly this is the case. The global corporate oligarchy says so itself!

People need to figure this out real quick. We still have some time, and its not as connected to the US presidency as some might assume (for better or worse..).

Its not about "racism," its about demonizing and dehumanizing people who dissent from the corporate-political Monolith.

So, its not really about racism in the way presented. Its about getting people to fight entirely manufactured Racism™ by being racists themselves.

Importantly though, this is done on every topic in social discourse. Its kind of a corporate-political take on monetizing double standards. Create a false narrative and then spur those who Buy into it to become what they think they are fighting against.

This also saturates the time, effort, and minds of those fighting against it though.

The only way to kneecap the corporate-political apparatus is by building an alternative framework from the ground up. Particularly, one that is built to be hardened against the methods of exploitation and subversion that have become pervasive.

With the current stage of tools and technology, this course is actually feasible for the first time in known history. To hinder such notions, those who oppose the Monolith have been programmed with the tendency to walk away from all modern technology. Or, if they do embrace it in some fashion, its in a way that renders them non-factors in society at large (i.e. "off the grid").

Its beautifully crafted.. Somewhat humorously though, the whole thing has a Death Star-like weakness in the form of decentralized tech without external connections.

Such a paradigm shift would not only starve the corporate-political beast, it would feed the future and true potential of humanity.

The entire concept of "race" was pretty thoroughly debunked in the 20th Century. There are Asian Indians with skin blacker than any African. There are white Nordic people with epicanthic folds (slanted eyes). There are people who share essentially the same DNA but look nothing like each other. If you're judging someone because of the color of their skin or some other physical feature, you're a fresh idiot.

Unless we're really going to go insane and start hating on people because of a particular genetic haplotype they have, it might be better to just encourage and support people who share a common desire for getting along in this existence. Basic things like not killing people because of their religious (or non-religious) beliefs, working hard and raising families, trading with others to meet respective needs, maintaining reasonable hygiene, and a common love of freshly baked bread.

If we're going to fight, we should have a battle between the stupid people and the intelligent people. In many ways, it's already been going on for millennia. Maybe now we have the technology to figure out who is who.

Then the only question would be, are you going to fight on the side of the stupid people or the smart people? I suppose the easiest way to determine that is to take an objective look your friends and acquaintances. If everybody around you is an idiot, maybe it's a good time to switch sides. Honestly, though, history has shown that either side has a chance of "winning."

94 trillion dollars?? This is a rhetorical question, of course, but just where is that kind of money supposed to come from, I wonder...???

That's a very tidy chunk of change, no matter how you look at it. Don't think my couch cushions will quite cover that...

...and what, pray, is adequate housing for everyone supposed to mean, I wonder??

Not the homeless. Or the destitute. Both of which I can understand, but for "everyone"...

Hmm...

A few centuries ago, people used to blame bad winters on the Jews, or Gypsies... Other than the group, searching for scapegoats is never out of fashion...

Why you ask?? Because it works...nearly every bloody time.

Some things just don't change. It's their fault that things are as they are. Blame them. PUNISH them!!!

Ah, me. Good to see some things just are totally predictable.

Yep. Y'know those traitors that actually decide that they'll make their own way in this world, rather than rely on Mommy Gov't.

How dare they!! Don't they know that govt., or at least this version of it, has only their best interests at heart??

Ronald Reagan said it best--some time ago--but it's as relevant today as it was then.

The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help.

Of course.

Because we all know that those poor people aren't capable of taking care of themselves without help from Mommy Govt.

Kind of a rehash of the "white mans burden".

I'm not sure how this version of government can have my best interests at heart when I'm not BIPOC.

Govt. only concern is, and always has been, retaining its power, and expanding it.

It's the nature of the beast. As always, there are, among us, those that wish to ride the tigers tail in hopes of gaining something from it for themselves.

Still trying to deny the white supremacy factions of Trump’s base?

Still spouting nonsense as if it is fact?

Unfortunately, it's more like when you fumigate cockroaches out of your house. They just scurry around and infect the neighbors. Now that these people have shown their true colors, there are going to be a lot of negative consequences from it, including the worrisome chance that next time they'll find a charismatic leader who is actually not an idiot, and their numbers (and acts of violence) will likely increase, not fade away.

It's not a threat, but a warning verified by history. Get ready.

I get the point of this, I guess it takes divergent thinking. You have to make associative leaps which stereotype all supporters into a single conservative christian hive mind of an era gone by.

I'll explain my opinion.

MAGA, and the policies therein are ideals strait from the cold war. The staple of the cold war, at least in America was the belief "God chose America to fight communism with total self-reliance". Only now godless commies are homegrown libtard socialists making sure the Norman Rockwell Americana, malt shops, and futuristic Detroit made cars with Western Pennsylvania ore are firmly left in the past.

To fondly remember the days of duck and cover for the patriotic self sufficiency it was no more.

In simplest terms Trump represented a return to; One man, One Woman, 2.5 children, paycheck on Friday, and Church on Sundays for God and Country as what makes America great with that same associative leap.

Bound to be resistance, and not that surprising all those Tejano and Southern state latino voters supported the dream of Americana that brought them here as well. Cubans especially. Anything anti-communism sells it without question.

Same reason thousands of woman tried to stop their own right to vote. Belief in the tried and true is always strong.

Any time this happens there is a few years of back and forth in the name of sanctity before it dies down. Happens any time culture changes somewhat dramatically.

To link that to climate. It's through mindset only. A stereotype reinforced by the average Trump supporter's opinion on climate topics with not much if any variance to be had. They were all born with the same ideal, even if they weren't.

It's a response and then counter-response to a shift in society which now finds the following advert as indoctrinating White Anglo-Saxon Protestant patriarchal elitism.

Thereby making anything that looks to This as a golden age of culture as default chauvinist racist.

Insurrection??? What insurrection? You mean the swearing in of the pretenders?

Sorry, but, in deference to bfft's admonition, I will refrain from pointing out how ludicrously ridiculously wrong that comment is...
