All over social media the last few days I've seen posts from conservative friends and pages to discourage people from any protests and demonstrations on inaguration day.

The reports of Antifa/BLM/outside agitators being the real cause of the chaos at the Capitol reverberate through the social media of the right.

The idea being if the Trumpers and the right wing stay home the only ones showing up will be the leftists/black block/ antifa and they will expose themselves.

Can Conservatives sit on their hands through inaguration day?

Is that a trick tptb are trying to pull to further silence dissent or is it a valid plan to expose the bad actors ?

They just keep telegraphing their punches. Seven days is more
than enough time to set up an assassination on inaugural day.
And blame us anyway. I know go ahead and say it. " Conspiracy
Theory". I'm sorry many of you don't understand that this is how
you have to think now days. You might as well get with program.

Just covering their arses.

But...antifa can read too I’m fairly sure.

Be pretty dumb to “expose” themselves.

But hey, if people do show up and act up, the blame has already been set up for antifa, regardless of who acts up.

Oh no, you snowflakes (it's actually our word for you lot) have set precedence for crying and stomping feet and shouting reeeee and making up lies and behaving like toddlers.
If us adults have actual reason to be worried we bloody well will keep on about it too. Only we won't melt into soy puddles.
It is infantile to think you can do this for years but then tell us to shut up and take it.
You made these new rules, now take the repercussions.

I've been thinking about this too. I'm actually happy to see this, but I'm not sure what to make of it in the big picture. I appreciate the importance of protesting this inauguration, but I'm not sure it would serve the greater purpose.

I'm pretty darn sure that the real rabble rousers have prepared for this eventuality, as well as any others. One way or another, they'll find a way to make conservatives look bad if that's what they want to do.

Given that this announcement not to attend is being spread widely, I would imagine the progressives will call their pitbulls off for the day. It would serve no purpose. At least, I don't see one.

I'd like to see Trump supporters and conservatives mount a different kind of protest. I'm not sure what or how. If they did so in a way that welcomed everyone -- indies, third parties, even disgusted liberals -- I think it could have a HUGE impact.

I think this is more about the decent republicans and I would say the majority who don’t support violence trying to speak to the minority who are preparing for violence to stand down rather than some set up for antifa.

What are you talking about?

When has the left stormed the capitol building to try and violently overturn an election?

Mussolini’s capitol building was also stormed

The fascist supporters called it ‘insurrection’ then too
Normal thinking people called it overthrowing an illegitimate government.

2021 has been fun so far, it’s gonna be a year of hypocrisy. That’s for damn sure!

So the government that won by almost 7 million votes is illegitimate

BUT

The government that won but lost by almost 5 million votes is perfectly legitimate? Lmfao ok

Its enough with the BS

"It's not antifa — it's MAGA," McCarthy told Trump, according to two Axios sources. "I know. I was there."

Conservatives have always been equally snowflakes, just about their own issues. Abortion, corporate tax, the mention of anything socialist, etc..

Enough of this ageist BS a lot of us here are over 50 years old and you're not fooling us.

Your boy lost and the entire world knows you're in a cult. Time to get a life and stop crying.

Yeah we resisted and took back control of Congress and the presidency

We didn’t cry and try to overturn the election because we didn’t get what we wanted

Well, they did when they tried to stop the Kavanaugh appointment.
