Pure BS. Not one single Republican Representative witness was allowed. NOT ONE.
You are attempting to rewrite history, and it isn't a good look.
During the House investigation there were Democrats and Republicans on the Investigating committees, and members from both parties were able to call
witnesses. Witnesses were invited, even subpoenaed.
If witnesses that could clear the President refused to appear, THAT IS ON THEM.
If the Republican members did not call for witnesses THAT IS ON THEM.
I specifically remember Republican member going out of their way to not ask questions. They spent their entire allotted time berating every thing
about the process and didn't even pretend to attempt a defense.
You can't spit in someone's face and then claim they won't offer you a drink of water.
Certainly, during the trial in the Senate, Mitch McConnell denied the calling of witnesses. So there is that.
