Why Trump Should be Impeached

Over a year ago when Trump’s first impeachment proceedings had passed congress, I thought it was stupid, like really stupid, I even wrote a Thread about it. I basically believed that it was politically motivated, with him facing is second impeachment I also happen to believe that is largely politically motived, Impeachment is after all a political affair. So, it’s always going to be political, the question then is should the process reach its final destination and culminate with the removal of Trump from office. Last time I thought not, this time though I definitely do think that Trump should be removed from office and I would like to explain why.

As it stands, unless Pence invokes the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office the democrats are going to have Trump impeached in congress for the crime of “Incitement of Insurrection against the United States”. The question then is did Trump incite the events that took place on the 6th of January at the Capitol building, that’s at the very core off all of this.

Did Trump’s words or actions provoke the unlawful violence at the Capitol?

I think the answer to this question depends on your politics, it depends if you believe Trump when he claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him and his supporters through fraudulent means. If you do believe this, if you truly believe this, then you must then believe that the actions that took place on capitol hill were justified in protecting against what would amount to a coup via covert, fraudulent, criminal means. The people who invaded the Capitol done so because they believed that the election had been stolen from them and from Trump, and why did they believe this? Because that’s exactly what Trump told them, repeatedly, that the 2020 election had been stolen.

Okay so now the question becomes, Was the 2020 election stolen?

Now Trump had primed his followers for this eventuality for months before the election, he primed them by telling them that vote by mail would lead to unthinkable fraud. Then even before all of the votes had been counted there where talks of “stop the steal”, he wanted to “stop the count” when it looked like he might be losing the election.

Since losing that election Trump has massively ramped up his talk of fraud, filing lawsuits, lots of tweets ranting about how the election has been “Stolen” rather than accepting the results of the election. Lots of claims have been made to the Courts of voter fraud but so far none of them have been upheld that would prove voter fraud on the scale that would change the results.

This is biggest problem; Trump is telling his supporters that they election was stolen from them yet so far there has been no proof that has been upheld that proves voter fraud on the scale that would sway the election. So, trump is making a claim that in the absence of any proof to support it must be concluded therefore to be untrue, a lie. He knows this is a lie.

These lies where repeated during his speech on the sixth of January before the attack on Capitol hill in his hour-long speech bellow, he repeated several lies and falsehoods to his supports as he thanked them after they chanted “Fight for Trump! Fight for Trump”.



This entire speech is riddled with various inflammatory lies that are going to inflame and provoke an already angry crowd but after listening to the whole thing the part that really sticks out to me is towards the end where Trump says:

Our brightest days are before us, our greatest achievements still wait. I think one of our great achievements will be election security because nobody until I came along, had any idea how corrupt our elections were. And again, most people would stand there at 9:00 in the evening and say, “I want to thank you very much,” and they go off to some other life, but I said, “Something’s wrong here. Something’s really wrong. Can’t have happened.” And we fight. We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

What else is important to remember is that the crowd, the people who attacked the capitol building where there because Trump invited them to that rally, that same rally where he told them that they have to fight light hell or else…”You’re not going to have a country anymore”.

He even tweeted on December 20th

“Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election,. Big protest in DC on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

So Trump invited his followers to Capitol hill to protest a set of lies and falsehoods he fed them over months for a “Wild” protest where he told them to fight for their country or they won’t have a country.

This speech was followed by Don Jnr Saying that

“We are watching,” Don Jr said.
The president’s son said that the Republicans needed to fight in the face of “irregularities” and “statistical impossibilities", a claim he made without evidence.

He then threatened to support primary challenges against Republicans who his father has deemed disloyal.
“They need to fight for Trump, because if not, I’m gonna be in your backyard in a couple of months,” he said. “If you’re gonna be the zero and not the hero, we’re coming for you.”

only that we then had Rudy Guiliani (who Trump said had “guts” in his speech) called for “trial by combat” to decide the ellection: Don’t believe me here is the video below.



So we have Trump, Baby Trump and Trumps B!tch all using inflammatory language to a crowd of angry people who they made angry by feeding them lies.

OF COURSE, THEY INCITED THE VOILANCE!!!

IF THEY HADN’T SAID THEY THIGNS THEY HAD SAD, TRUMP PARTICUARLY THEN THIS WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!!


That is why Trump should be impeached, he and those closest to him incited violence that resulted in 5 deaths. This was a terrorist attack, those people where planting bombs, they had plastic handcuffs read to take hostages and they done it all because Trump fed them a whole pack of political lies. This trump why should be impeached, he should be removed from office to send a message that what he done was wrong. He has hurt not just the country, but the republican party and his own supports with his lies. Both Congress and the Senate should show him the door.

I totally get the argument that he only has a few days left and that this would only make things worse, but I have to wonder how much worse it could get. If the republican’s side with the Dems onto his and take a united front against a man who has lied and undermined American democracy I think it sends a message that the age of Trump is over, it shows that nobody is above punishment, it shows that American democracy is strong enough to remove a tyrannical despot leader on their own soil where necessary, it’s a message of strength I think.

This is a massive part of the problem though.

Trump supporters are just so unwilling to actually listen to any opposing views so you actually believe the utter BS that he feeds you and sadly, for some it results in the events that we saw at the Capitol Building.

Like you're not actually saying anything what so ever that refutes my argument...

Also its more than just his speech, he lied to people, he lied to them he told them the election was stole knowing it was a lie and people conducted a terrorist attack on the US Capitol building on the bases of those lies.

I'm sure later today Trump will address the fraudulent lies the left is spewing out.

Oh, please! The only reason she's impeaching him is to insure he cant run again and defeat them. It's all about power. Trump's biggest crime was winning and taking, what they call, THEIR White House. That's all I hear from the left, that it's THEIR White House. Obama said that they are the majority party, and that Republicans are a minority party. Well than, Trump must of won over a bunch of independents, because he stole THEIR White House.

More angry, but I think they're angry anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do something else stupid in the next few days.

The thing is, at least if they remove him it makes it very clear that Trump and his lies have no place in US politics. Now his supporters won't see it like that but the way I see is that they already believe he is the victim of some kind of coup and removing him from office won't really change that mindset.
