Almost all search engines use the algorithm as their basis. Google hogs so much of the market share that it dictates.

Market share? Isn't that the result of being a better product. In essence Capitalism to make a profit for the share holders, employ people and pay taxes.

Walmart destroys mom and pop operations. I won't go to walmart. It's my choice. Let the market place decide who stays and who goes. Not govt.

What does the free market have to do with tax breaks, subsidies, and government contracts?

Are those companies preventing all Americans from using their services?
If so, then yes

Let me explain.

Free Markets - an economic system in which prices are determined by unrestricted competition between privately owned businesses.

Tax breaks are laws of this country. If you don't like how our tax system works, then lobby to change it. Trump paid $750 in taxes because he figured out the loopholes in the system just as corporations do to minimize their taxes. Is it fair? no but that is the law. Deal with it.

Just because a company gets a tax break doesn't mean you have to punish it because you don't like how they conduct their business.

Government contracts are given to companies who have the best mousetrap and usually the best price. If the DOD doesn't want to use AWS servers anymore and switch to Microsoft servers, they can do that because we have free markets and the DOD just did that.

As much as I also avoid Walmart I see the bigger small town greed problem. My little town of 2000 people has 9 empty buildings. Only one is for sale or rent. Why nobody will rent or sell other than the one thats for rent and they want $1600 a month for less than 1000 square feet. Greed and the other empty ones at least 4 have changed hands in the last 4 years and are still empty and not for rent.
all the owners are now from out of town and using their empty building for a tax deduction so they can write off their summer home.

Greed simple greed not Walmart.

How specifically is Apple and Google, who you called out, "preventing all Americans from using their services"?

Not exactly. If the time would come that I am punishable for what you say or do, then you will not be able to say nor do anything anywhere on the internet. That is a guarantee.

Buy something on Amazon? Nope, choking hazard may apply and Bezos can be sued to oblivion...so no cheap trinkets for you. XBox and PlayStation...gone. The mods to a video game on their downloading service might be too hard or have offensive content such as a red bandana tied to a character’s leg (gang related reference).

Once AWS bans and stops hosting Parler, they can take the Gab route and try hostkey.ru and then probably end up on Mastodon. Markets are efficient!!

What they do not understand is These companies are basically playing them, because in reality they all work together and we have proof of it. They are acting just like a monopoly, but split up to avoid the monopoly laws. The FCC should enforce 230 to the LETTER not the Spirit.

Right, let's call in the govt. to fix it instead of letting the market place determine who we can patronize. Sounds a lot like socialism.

The government putting it's jack boots on the neck free enterprise and private ownership is exactly socialism trying to limit capitalism by punishing the successful with BS cartel laws.

How would you feel if the biden govt. stepped in and forced regulations on ATS because it's current conservative ideology and business approach is making it successful?
