i think this is one of the first steps towards the terminator/matrix scenario. the machine immitates nature, then integrates it, then obsolesces it.
i don't think it's healthy. i think the true battle that we face is the battle of the collective physical bodies desire for comfort. if we were not so concerned about physical comfort and the fulfillment of desire(both physical and mental), we would have a better chance(as a species) of survival.
the question i have is, how self aware is the collective artificial intelligence which is growing in our technological junkyard? and to what degree is it being helped along by our human elite controllers?
the borg are here. we are creating them/us.

yeah, we'll be using these robots with minds of their own to do research on other planets probably, and even though in movies they seem indestructible, all it takes is a computer virus and its all over...
