US states scramble to take action as Covid numbers jump terrifyingly higher

One of my cousins and I are chatting right now and he told me this morning he's got it. He became symptomatic on Nov. 15th and feels like he's improving now, but can tell his blood ox is low based on how he feels. He said it's not terrible and he's not taking any treatments for it but it's not fun either.

Everyone has or has had it at this point. 14 people in the nursing home in my little home town died the two weeks before the election. What do you want to bet that someone war gamed the timing of the release to hit the most people around the election. Wake up folks. It’s war

You are not the center of the universe, this is global, we had 10 die yesterday, 1 the day before, 11 the day before that..etc We have nothing to do with your damn election..and this isn't the cold and flu.

Alright, so here's my beef with this whole coronavirus, covid scare.

Is it real? Yes.

Would you believe that with the way companies are running? No.

My sister works at a plasma donation center, bio life or something. All the workers have gotten sick, they are understaffed, they have positive tested workers coming back to work within 2 days of being tested. No hazard pay anymore. Giving more cash "donations" to donors then taking care of their employees. They refuse to close for awhile for workers to recuperate.

My sister lives with my father going through chemo, immune compromised. Mother is up there with age too. Absolutely no care for their well being. She has tried calling HR, even the CDC department here in MN, just gets robo answers, no call backs.

So you have sick, positive workers on the floor, sticking people for plasma, but no caution or even warnings given to donors. These protocols and mandates are half assed and focused on profit.

Edit: They are also paying an increased first time donor system for people tested positive so they can get their plasma for antibodies. So you have knowingly sick people, mingling with others who may not have had it. Ontop of trying to keep enough employees on the floor.

Friend’s grandmother, in a nursing home in Southern California, passed last night — not from the virus, surprisingly. Thankfully my friend was able to talk to her just prior to going (a nurse held the phone while family called in), but the shocking thing was my friend said everyone in the nursing home had it.

Are we supposed to be cowering in fear? LOL. Be afraid, be very afraid.

One home here has about 110 infections as of a day ago..half those people are done.

Little confused at your beginning sentance, but that's how it's been running since about June.

You’re right, it’s not the cold and flu- those are much worse than this virus. Even the CDC reports that you have a 99+% of NOT dying from covid-19 if you get it. Furthermore, everyone gets nasty symptoms when they get a cold or the flu: with this virus that you are so thrilled to be terrified by, most people don’t even have any symptoms.

I see no uptick . The paper and tv says there is . The governments job is to lie to us and keep us as uninformed as possible . If it comes from the government or any mainstream media you can know it’s a lie . The global government is pounding on the worlds door and it’s not a good global government . It’s one where we have no freedom , no property , no guns , no free speech . We will have a cashless society and our money card will be turned off if we dissent or have an opinion . People still say I’m crazy for saying this stuff but I just read the book before . This has been planned for hundreds if not thousands of years .
We either take our country back or it’ll be gone soon . Probably starting with a new voting law and kicking out the illegals and charging politicians and corporations with treason and start hanging them high . Oops meant "not how it's going here" ie they are taking it serious, if you are sick, 2 weeks at home.

I'm not a panicky guy but this is just not good. DB as well meaning as he is says cold/flu season. While this is true, our #s are 10 fold at least, of typical flu #s

Sorry to disappoint, your fantasy of me sounds quite tedious.

As someone who wanted to embark on a career in journalism but didn't, due to the level of sensationalism required, I wondered if this was a step too far.

Ergo i asked the question of whether this was a true representation of the situation on the ground.
