So my question is why do so many believe “everything their told”? What happened to forming your OWN conclusion? Is it neglect, ignorance, or laziness?

Simple really, we've all been seriously brainwashed to some extent... The meme below may be funny, but the question asked is definitely NOT...

What if the MKULTRA program never actually ended?

In the entire history of man, no one has ever been brainwashed and realized, or believed, that he had been brainwashed. Those who have been brainwashed will usually passionately defend their manipulators, claiming they have simply been "shown the light" . . . or have been transformed in miraculous ways. www.whale.to...

The problem we have is that there are actually lots of people forming their own opinion who believe that the opinion others have formed, when it is contrary to their own, is "spoonfed from the MSM" and they wholeheartedly believe it too, without any evidence.

Mind you having a no evidence is the new black...

My personal gut feeling is that perhaps 1/4 of people now know the mainstream media can not trusted as an objective news source, and that most of these people have woken up within the last year or so. People are waking up now due to the mainstream media are so obviously and in the open censoring conservative news and favoring leftist ideas.

Another part of the problem, of course is this idea that the Right are somehow morally superior to the Left when, in actual fact the censorship goes both ways. It's a logical fallacy to suggest otherwise.

At least us conservative have a moral base to fall back on, what kind of moral base does the Left have? For socialists everything is relative and subjective in favor to their cause, also moral issues.

I did two years In journalism, and found out I like to eat, so I changed my major.

What they pass off as journalism today is a farce. The news agencies are in the buisness of manipulating the masses. And they do a stellar job of it with the triple whammy. Hit them with the TV news, infect them with social media, then drive it home with internet videos, pundits, and social influencers.

They have successfully created millions of woke, people that believe they are no longer sheeple, because they think for themselves, and they have researched for themselves, and have been educated by those that they claim to reject.

The “left and right” parties are the fuel in America, to keep this media circus going. There shouldn’t be any competition for popularity and ratings based off of informing the public with anything.

It’s twisted and worrisome, when stories of murder or other capital crimes become a race to being “first printed”.

Best example and probably the first in the “modern” era is; the coverage of 9/11, it went on for months. Theory after theory until everyone forgot the most basic principle of what happened.

The media finally saw most people like “entertainment” and “suspense”, more than reporting.

Most people are smart enough to know that different media outlets spin stories in a different way. This is why people usually choose to use a specific media source which they know confirms their views.

I'm just as guilty of this as everybody else. I say that I want a neutral news source, but what I really want is one that confirms what I already think and makes me feel like I'm part of a bigger movement.

I won't watch a news source that disagrees with me and belittles my views.

This is called diversity. Different people having different ideas.

Socialists say more or less the same thing about conservatives. In fact it's scary how similar these two groups are in that respect.

I spent a good portion of my life living in a socialist country, and the national view was that it had the moral high ground while America's capitalist society was immoral and corrupt.

I also lived under Communism, and the communists said pretty much the same thing about the capitalists and the socialists.

I now live under capitalism. Ditto.

You speak honestly.

I disagree about it being related to diversity. It leans more towards group think and confirmation bias, which is becoming more and more difficult to avoid.

The system is set up to make us take sides. We are pawns on a global chess board. Soon it will not matter what side you are on. The master player will place you on either side, in any position, because his only goal is to win the game.

That sounds about right. The problem in all that is that the people eat it up.

I am not big on the Bible. I do like the general teachings of Jesus, don't be an idiot, do the right thing, take responsibility for our action, care about our place in this world. The 10 commandments look like a good start for a functional society.

There is lots in the Q stuff. Keywords, connections, things to watch out for. Some of it gets into the grey zone, some of it provides awareness into the situation the media is not talking about. How the media has banished Q as some kind of violent extremism is telling of the situation. It is a violent world in parts, Q does bring up violent topics. I do find Q trying to bring this violence down without being more violent about it. Those that protest the most against Q look to the most to lose with some of their past actions.

So only the Right go to church? What about those on the Right who don't believe in God? What about Muslim conservatives? Buddhist conservatives? Heathen conservatives? (ok they probably don't exist), Hindi Conservatives? Scientology conservatives? Mormon conservatives? Jehovah's Witness conservatives? Pagan conservatives?

What about Lefties who go to church?

Saying the Left has no moral base is a logical fallacy.

Anyone who applies critical thinking has debunked Q for the nonsense it is.

The first commandment, there is only one god. What you, me and everyone else prays to is all part of the same thing. Sure there are lots of different interpretation, rules, customs and weird stuff with religion. What ever works for you i guess?

Morality is an individual thing. It is also a legal thing when it becomes political.

So even if everyone worships the same god but think they're worshipping different ones, then the Left do, in fact, have a moral base?

I don't know how it works with god, its a long history with all kinds of complicated stuff going on. Somewhere through it all we are all made of the same stuff, one big dysfunctional family.

The left still has a moral base, some of the rules its plays by are a bit different from the right.
