Thousands of Uncounted Trump Votes Discovered in Georgia Recount Today

Georgia's recount is slogging along; earlier today officials discovered 2,600 ballots in Floyd County (which went 71% for Trump) that hadn't been counted. Trump trails Biden in Georgia by less than 14,000 votes.

The issue appeared to occur on an optical scanner that stopped working after a couple of weeks of early voting, Martin said. County election officials were supposed to rescan all paper ballots cast on that machine, but roughly half of them weren’t recorded.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is a daily newspaper founded in 1868. It has a circulation of 175,000 and is owned by Cox Communications. The paper has won nine Pulitzer Prizes.

To clarify, this is a serious but separate issue.

There is a two-part process to vote counting in Georgia.

First, a human puts the ballot in an optical scanner.
Second, the optical scanner reads the ballot and sends the results to a computer running on Dominion software which stores the result and aggregates it with those of other ballots.

In this case, the failure was in part one (i.e. the optical scanner, which is a non-Dominion system).

That is just one county. This portends good news for GA, and Trump.

It's Atlanta's major newspaper the Atlanta Journal and Constitution ironically, it's moniker though is the Urinal and Constipation by many.

So to clear up the flat out false headline of this thread

But the reality is this

2600 votes overall (going to both Trump and Biden) were uncounted/uncovered.

I have no doubt it was an oversight on the headline instead of feeding the s--tfest that would suggest this was just Trump being hammered...

actually, upon reflection, I have lots of doubt. I would actually assume it was worded to continue the disinformation.

I didn't read anything about fraud here. A mistake.

And if it's a Trump county then obviously they wouldn't help Biden.

After trumps recount, Biden should order another to verify trumps recount wasn't rigged.
