We can ask the tooth fairy!
And ya your correct on the money issue.
I just really don't see opening up the economy right now is the best option.
Yet we all have our own beliefs.
That could work though. And be better than printing pieces of paper to help mitigate the problem.
Who the hell knows at this point mate.

Thank you!

I remember reading about your ordeal, and I'm glad you survived.
I'm your situation, I might feel the same.
My one sister goes out very little due to heal concerns.

How does a lock down improve unemployment? Debt? Homelessness?

BTW, I am all in favor of those that are compromised staying home. Food, clothing, meds can be delivered.
People need to be responsible and be treated as adults, not children.

But no one should lock down healthy people without their permission.

Hell, even the compromised shouldn't be locked down without their explicit permission, either. Don't forget, most of us in that boat aren't down with being a feel-good deception pawn, let alone against our will.

I do agree with you on that.
It's just a very difficult thing to undertake.
I say we exhaust all options for a bit and see where stand after.
At that time release another round of free money and just open up. I know we don't have the money but we kinda have to bite the bullet on this.
That gives us buying power and will help all around.
Just put our entire economy on a stand still in every aspect for a few weeks. If it fails it fails.

Our debt is through the roof, history high unemployment, ppl facing homelessness. So your solution is another lockdown? How is that going to help at all?

More ppl unemployed and more debt sending them govt checks is a case of the cure being worse than the illness.

I get what you're trying to say here, but it's honestly very foolish to remove employment, even if it's only some of it for a short while. That snowballs into a myriad of drawbacks that are honestly worse on people than the illness is.

I really don't think more homelessness (those protections run out VERY soon) more hunger, more abuse, etc is worth the trade here.

There is no such thing as free money.

We should be doing everything we can to revive the economy.
Not kill it.

Her goal is to break the human Spirit in you.
Once you lose the human spirit the will to be normal leaves you.
Confusion sets in and the worst thing about confusion is the certainty of the uncertainty.
That is a woman's goal.
Actually she's not a woman she's a beast.
I would not listen to her and if I was a police officer I would not enforce her wishes cuz that's all they are wishes.

Or we can possibly contain and track.
That could help us determine which areas to open first. Put reliefs on hospital employees. Put buying power back in our hands.
Yes it will put a big strain on our debt, yet a silver lining could be within such a move.
Just imagine a check based on the number of people in a home went out. They have nowhere to go and spend that money. Then we manage to contain the hotspots. Then just open up.
So much money will flow.
Now consider all that and make a argument for not doing so.

In Washington State it's the homeless being used to vote through coercion. The homeless are told to do what they are told, or else they get tossed out in to the streets and off any state assistance. We have these so-called "Tiny House Villages" that are used to make following the government seem plush for people wanting a hand out. Those that want help getting out of the homeless situations are given some assistance, but are mostly tossed aside for people more easily manipulated. So the Demonic...I mean Dominion voting machines don't have as much to do with voting irregularities in this state.

All that money with "nowhere to go and spend that money" is going to pay rent, utilities, and food, since ppl will be unable to go to work. So no it won't just be free money for the economy when it opens back up.

That is a very valid argument.
But how do we do such a thing when we are reaching record levels of new cases and deaths of something none of have ever dealt with?
I mean maybe we can come up with something that fits both our wants and self perceived needs?
It can be done. We just need to do it. Send our local officials the plan. If enough of us do so in multiple states it could possibly work.
So I will start with every state agreement to a four week mask mandate.

I don't even need to quote and address each bit this time, because you made it fairly easy as a whole.

Re-read what you typed up there. Where is that money to pay people to stay home going to come from? Which coffers? Local? State? Federal? What is going to replenish those coffers under your terms? They do not take income taxes, if there is no income to tax in the first place.

Gretchen Whitmer is angry at the Michigan Supreme Court for daring to limit her ability to be a true Gestapo-like Dictator.

She's also angry at Joe Biden for not picking her as Vice-President.

There really are people who enjoy delivering pain to other living things.

Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer is one of those evil "things".

I know what your saying.

And it sucks yet we have to deal with it.

Crap sucks but we do what we have to do.

We can put that petrodollar to use and make this happen.
We just need to figure out how.
So come on peeps? Let's do this.

I really don't think the number of new cases has impacted anybody for a month or more now into the "crisis" as we know it. Ya lots of ppl are catching the virus, and 99% of them have little or no symptoms. This really isn't the health crisis some have been making it out to be.

My almost retired boss and her retired husband have both gotten COVID. She's pretty feisty and feeling fine other than her sense of smell which still hasn't come back. He's even older with a heart condition but also feeling fine. Why should we really shut down the entire economy because some ppl's immune systems can't deal with it as well as theirs?

No, we don't have to do it. As with household budgets, if there's no way to finance something, you don't get to do it.

The country is broke as #. To do it the way you want would take nothing short of becoming a post-scarcity Trek-like planet overnight, because if you're going to hold to it being so pervasive that we need to live on the dole, you HAVE to admit it will never be accomplished until all 8 billion of us stay home.

That, in our era, will never happen.

We have large numbers of positive tests.
Not necessarily cases.

More people are getting tested for various reasons.
Some for their jobs, and this may be done on a regular basia, even weeklt.
Some get tested until they test negative.
These add an unrealistic number of positive tests.
Some get tested for peace of mind....

Yo brah, let's just focus on a plan.
I should have asked that from the get go. But I didn't and I don't like editing my posts.

And ya most don't get sick. Yet we still have to get this under control.

So how do we do so and keep America and other countries operational.
