State Rep. Matt Maddock (R), who is well-known in Michigan as a pro-Trump solid conservative, announced tonight that he is filing the paperwork in the Michigan House to start impeachment proceedings against Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer!

Whitmer has been repeatedly defying court orders limiting her COVID shutdown powers.

[...]

Well, actually, the rumors are worse than true.
As of November 18, and for three weeks--supposedly, the state of Michigan goes back to lockdown. Some kinds of businesses will remain open, or so it is hoped.
And, we'll see if she really means three weeks or will further politicize the pain of a dying economy.

Make no mistake the MDHHS claims this is their work, but they are acting at the behest of Gretch, who is not allowed to act without the Legislature. Heck, the Legislature probably found out about this the way I did:
www.clickondetroit.com... /

Under the restrictions announced Sunday, all Michigan residents are required to work from home unless their job must be performed in person.

Indoor dine-in services will no longer be allowed for bars or restaurants, Whitmer said. Casinos, movie theaters, stadiums and arenas must remain closed.

Bowling alleys, ice skating rinks, bingo halls, arcades and indoor water parks must also be closed.

All high school and college classes will have to be conducted remotely.

Organized sports are being shut down, not including professional sports and a select number of NCAA sports. Indoor group fitness classes are no longer permitted.

And just in case you are going to say, she's following the science.
Restaurants and bars are not the huge places for this illness to manifest, by the states own stats.
Worse places: adult care facilities [still!!!!!], schools, and certain types of workplaces. Note also, from stats published about school "outbreaks"...and "outbreak" can be a little as two positive cases.

Godspeed, State Rep. Matt Maddock.
And thank you.

She's not following science (the honest, intellectual pursuit of knowledge) she is following Science™ - the liberal elite's fabricated version they use to control and coerce.

Corral and herd. Funnel everyone to the same locations increasing infections.

This way she can go to full lockdown.

Same as the first time.

Evening, MS!

And these thing always come out on the weekend with her....
She seems to be targeting small businesses the most this time out....or should I say again.
I am glad salons and barber shops remain open, at least for now.
But who knows what deviousness will come next.

Three weeks is an eternity without a paycheck....nevermind that the money might be retroactive.
And she must think an eatery can switch from dine in to NOT dine in at the drop of a hat.
She is just. so. damn. clueless.

Yeah, that part about working from home being required isn't going to go over well. Parents are already overstretched at home with laid-off spouses, relatives moving in, & at-home schooling, now they want to add the stress of trying to get work and meetings done with all that # going on in the background?

Thank god my husband's employer has no intention of doing so outside of pure government force. They COULD, with some investments in company laptops to take home, but acknowledge and agree that saddling their office folks with taking work home is a baaaad idea, because you're not allowed to take work home anyway -- they want you to take your days off seriously and relax with them. Gretchy will not change their minds on that.

I'm looking real forward to seeing what comes of this filing. The ball has to start rolling somewhere, no?

She's the equivalent of the clown Dan Andrews we have running our state here in Victoria, Australia that has seen the most draconian lockdowns outside of China.

They all use the same talking points - the Science™, it's about saving lives, in this together....

Globalist puppets.

I made up a little joke;

Q- What do Dan Andrews and bamboo have in common?

A- they're both Chinese plants

Not to mention the big wind storm in Michigan.
Hundreds of thousands of people have NO POWER at the moment.
Have no idea what this poor excuse of a leader is doing to them this week.
SMH!!!!!!

You'd a thought the death threats and exec powers overturned woulda made her a bit more....reserved this time? Geez...

By the by...wife n I have been to Northville, Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, Holly, Rochester...some streets downtown(s) closed for outside restaurant serving...are closing cause of winter...some have built "pods" like for inclement weather in Europe...

But Whitless has crushed even those customers.

We are losing small business left and right. Take care....

Indeed. My street still has power, by some small miracle. Most other streets around me have none yet, unless you count the few homes with whole-house generators running tonight.

My neighbors are going to be so pissed off come morning when they get to work.

It's not her job to follow the science, her job is to follow the law.

I can see the need for executive action in an emergency, but this can no longer be considered an emergency. Legislative bodies have had plenty of time to craft laws to deal with this situation.

We need to put the lid on this can of worms before it gets away from us. We can't allow mayors, governors, or presidents to issue edicts and use law enforcement as their personal goon squads.

I have mad respect for ya. But...maybe going into a full swing lockdown isn't such a bad idea.
Our options are running dry.
Our debt is through the roof. History high unemployment, many people facing being homeless.
I know it sucks yet it appear we really only have two options.
Herd immunization, or a lockdown.
I'm sorry but this crap almost claimed my life one time. And the second time wasn't as bad.
I'm not risking a third.

So is the money, so who's paying everyone's bills this time? The tooth fairy?

None of this is solved by removing the ability to make a living. Removing the ability to earn income and pay one's bills compounds the problem, many fold.

A lockdown is not a solution. Letting everyone get their immunity through the method of their choice is the best one we can use to our advantage. Forcing people to hide in their homes or behind masks does not kill off a virus of any kind, it never has and never will. It just waits for you to let your guard down when you have a false sense of security, then the bitching starts anew, as do the lockdown threats.

She isn't clueless it's worse she knows exactly what she is doing and she doesn't care. Those small business owners didn't elect her.
