The Wind

A gentle breeze on a hot summer's day makes the wind our friend, but a hurricane with raging winds can make the wind our enemy.

We can see the effects the wind has on water, against trees, against property and by how quickly clouds move or how fast the rain falls.

We can feel the wind against our bodies and we can hear the wind howling in a gale, but we cannot see the wind.

I have always wondered why can we not see the wind.

My question to the members of ATS is what would you have to do to make the wind visible to the eye ?

I would be interested to hear, or see, your thoughts.

very interesting and philisophical question. at first thoughts, i would say that to make the wind visible, let's put light smoke on it.
not very original, but that's the only thing that will not hurt anybody (imagine putting strings or sand to make it visible)

you can't see wind because you can't see air. Wind is just air moving. No matter how fast an invisible object is moving, you can't see it. Make air visible, i.e. put smoke in it. you ca see air.
