We're "supposed" to have more freedoms here in the states (insert laughter and some crying).

Americans are no better, different, healthier than our European cousins.

Lets get our freedoms on, open things up, shelter those with underlying conditions, and get on with our lives!

France 3045 critical COVID cases in a population of 65 million, yea that sounds like France alright. Germany has 1569 critical COVID cases in a population of 83 million and they are shutting down. Überreaktion or réaction excessive.

Why did this remind me of history just prior to WW 2 ?

Those countries will end up proving once again that masks and social distancing will not work, just like they did not work during the last Spike barely lethal covid-19.

Well, the kids must go school to be programmed correctly to overthrow any resistance of the new hidden government agenda.

I think in the minds of the bureaucrats all the inconsistent points you bring up make perfect sense.

Death rate doesn't demand a new lock down, but case rate may ... today's bureaucrats wish to avoid all critisum and avoid all real executive decision making. They don't want to be told their actions costs the lives of X number of people so their decisions are extremely conservative (small c).

Kids exempt from the lockdowns to go to school ... the bureaucrats who are knowingly being extremely risk adverse for optics sake on the first point know that real lockdowns are going to several disadvantage their children.

So they are trying to have their cake and eat it to.

No it won't it is here to stay till we get herd immunity or a vaccine. All we have done is delay it running it's course through the population.

Which concludes to me logic, is not in play, since children can still contract the virus and spread it asymptomatic.

🤷‍♂️ Actions have zero logical purpose to mitigate a virus, as a matter a fact hundreds of children in schools are breeding grounds for pathogens.

The reason for the new lockdown as illustrated, has very little it appears to what one first thinks to be believed.

They already locked everyone down and clearly it didnt work. Why on earth do they think it will work this time?

It's not about curbing a disease.
That is pretty obvious now.

It's not about Covid, it was never about Covid.

It's about power and control and obedience of the population(s).

Not ignoring anything.
Why are you ignoring the long term social and economic effects of shutting down the economy?

That is where the long term damage is being done.

While ever you think that this is political, you are part of the problem.

These emergency measures are not forever, but I suppose that for an infant who wants a lolly, six seconds is an eternity.

Meh this virus, has been around long enough for us to get a grasp, at understanding it now. It effect most similar to influenza, can be just as lethal to the elderly and pre conditioned, irony here is a vaccine is given each year for influenza best guess antibodies yet people still get the flu, and die. The only I mean only Hail Mary of an excuse for closing the countries down in lue of covid, is the fear, an emotion btw, that their hospitals will be overwhelmed. 🤷‍♂️ I think that’s grasping at straws thou. It looks like the Southern Hemisphere survived covid this summer.

After 911 they locked down after only 2,977 deaths. But they had government back then.

Of course, that was probably back when America was great. LOL.
