I got dibs on rolling him up if he doesn't leave and never come back.

" I had my ass kicked out of the USA now"

Never had anything good to say about our country any way.

I agree totally with what you say, Springstein is no different than you or I am....other than he is filthy rich I suppose.

He's a tax cheat.

I remember hearing about Springsteen before I ever heard him (the Time magazine covers, newspaper articles, every entertainment outlet on TV). Once I did hear his music I was like, "That's it?" It sounded like every other dive bar house band I'd ever heard.

So, no worries from me Bruce - not gonna miss the guy who was Born To Run Away.

I really still struggle in understanding the reaction of trump supporters...like at what point do you look around and say to yourself “perhaps trump isn’t all that grate”

Imagine for one second if Trump haters actually put as much energy to better your own lives instead of whining about him.

I wonder where yall be 4 years later.

What, why do we have to take your refugees, we don’t want him and his socialist agenda in our country
Oh that’s right, all the “woke” said this the first time and none left
Actually, did any leave whom said they would leave, any?

Frankly, myself, I can only point to that one song because I paid so little attention to him. Mostly I just wondered at his success being as that was his only real hit. And even that one held no appeal to me. He has no real prowess on the guitar and his singing ability was far from ''star'' quality.

But Springsteen as a cultural phenomena interested me. How such a rather limited talent could make it so big was the interesting case. He found a market. That market was patriotism and that ''anthem'' became what can be considered as the ''New National Anthem for the last part of the century.

My point being he offered a mediocre product, a mediocre talent with mediocre music, yet he made millions for himself and many more millions for the corporations that gave him venues. Patriotism being the only reason I can ascertain for his success. Patriotism is an easy sell.

And Hilary?
And Biden?

Seriously, they are not better, Do you think they are a better option
Trump is a dick but he makes a good president who puts the US first, even as an Australian I can see that’s better for your country than Hilary or Biden

Well, there is that too, I never took a deduction that was not entitled too
I felt guilty doing it but it was legitimate common practice according to the accountant firm I used for my business.

It was like a vacation going to green bay to buy tools and supplies that I could not get locally. Now, we got big chain stores and you can get everything right here...no fun overnight trips to get supplies anymore.

By all appearances DJT utilizes the tax code as it is written to take deductions he is legally entitled to. He didn't write those laws/rules.

And the "he paid 700 in taxes" is just morose. He overpaid and then took the credit the following year as a deduction.

What that whole story showed me is just how ignorant the regular folks are about taxes and finance in general.

im actually a spingsteen fan.
his live perfomances blow away any album.
sirius has a station just for bruce, and i listen to the concerts.

the guy is a high school dropout, BUT a brilliant writer.
no joke, his storytelling is incredible.

BUT he is a stupid lib.
you can hear it in his old concerts, how the evil republikans are so bad for everything.

and he also got some sh!t award from 0bama.

now the worst thing he does is this.
during his concert, he lets a local charity set up shop at the front of the show.
and then during the show, he tells people donate to the charity.

now its not as cool as you think.
first up, i get into concerts free lol, but i do know, that basically people are paying 100 bucks per person to go to a show, when all is said and done with fees and parking and drinks. 100 is LOW no less.

then bruce says to you, after you shelved out 75 bucks for a ticket, 'go donate'

well bruce, if you are playing a 30k arena, how about you donate 5 bucks from every 75 dollar ticket instead? you are still making 70.

nah, this 500 millionaire tells working class people, who he always sings about, drop another 10 to donate, after the 300 bucks per couple they just spent.

do not get me wrong, i am a fan.
but he is a delusional hypocrite.

even if he moves to australia, where there is no freedom of speech thanks to the money lenders, he is rich, he will not have worry about laws.

I keep reading about hypocrisy. First, you are responding to a "whataboutism" post, which is kinda funny. Beyond that, what reasons could Trump have for leaving the country? Could the constant threats and demands to put him in jail for anything under the sun have something to do with it?

Context man.

FWIW, it could be thats why Tom Hanks left the country. Who knows.

However I did notice over the years that he appealed to the flag waving crowd and filled auditoriums with mantra singing Born in the USA ers.

Like many non-American's I disliked Born in the USA intensely when I first heard it.
I thought it was nothing but flag waving overly patriotic jingoistic bollocks.

I was wrong....very wrong.

Its an excellent song and quite a damning indictment of certain apsects of American life.

This surprises many people who know me but I'm a big fan of Springsteen's music, especially his earlier stuff.
I've seen him twice live and I would count both in my best top ten concerts - I've seen literally hundreds of bands ranging from the smallest most obscure bands right up to some of the biggests artists ever and in all sorts of venues.

I know a couple of scaffolders who worked as crew members on two of his European tours.
They tell me he's a great guy, really down to earth and good company.

But I do find the whole rock star trying to be 'true to his roots' whilst having an obscenely huge personal fortune all rather patronising and hypocritical.

I've never ran away from anything or anyone and if I was American I'd wish him good #ing riddance if he turns his back on his country.
Ok, he doesn't like Trump.
Regardless of who is POTUS it'll have no real effect on him or his family's lives.
But he can work to try and help others not as fortunate as him and who he feels may be negatively impacted by Trump's policies.
He can make a difference to people's lives - granted, a very limited difference - and he can use his profile to highlight what he believes are Trump's failings.

Running away would be selfish and achieve absolutely nothing whatsoever.

I wonder what his mate Mike Ness would think?
Now there's a guy who's never ran from anything in his life!
