School closures during crises can result in girls spending more time with men and boys . . . , leading to . . . increased risk of sexual violence and exploitation.

Who is to be blamed for the teenage pregnancy problem? Who are the male perpetrators and what consequences do they face for their actions?
www.peah.it...

“All the people who have impregnated these children needs be arraigned but it is becoming a challenge. We need special court sittings to address and deal with these cases,”
www.africanews.com...

Over a period of three months in lockdown due to COVID-19, 152,000 Kenyan teenage girls became pregnant — a 40% increase in the country’s monthly average. These numbers, from early July, are some of the earliest pieces of evidence linking the COVID-19 pandemic to unintended pregnancies.
givingcompass.org...

. . . the humanitarian organisation had found it was not uncommon for girls to be sexually abused in exchange for sanitary items.

“We have motorcycle taxis called boda bodas and the girls engage in sex with the drivers who in exchange source the sanitary pads,”
www.nuflo.uk...

Kenya is the well known story but this issue is worldwide. In Kenya sanitary pads and food used to be given out at school, now the girls are often tricked or forced to exchange sex for pads, food or money, typically by motorcycle taxi operators who usually disappear from the scene when the child is found to be pregnant. Lack of sex education and sheer desperation are common factors. In other parts of the world abuse in the home due to the lockdown has lead to a sharp rise in the number of unplanned pregnancies.

In the UK telephone abortion consultations decrease the detection of abuse. Body language and abusers in the background cannot be seen in a phone call.

London, Monday 30th March 2020

The UK Government has approved this morning the use of telemedicine for abortion care, meaning that:

Women and girls will be able to take both pills for early medical abortion up to 10 weeks in their own homes, without the need to first attend a hospital or clinic;
Registered Medical practitioners (doctors) will be able to prescribe both pills for the treatment of early medical abortion up to 10 weeks from their own homes.
www.mariestopes.org.uk...

Variations in the effect of the panicdemic on unplanned teenage pregnancies are largely down to the wealth or poverty of the area. Overall the health effects of covid related teenage pregnancies must be compared to the scientifically proven and documented health effects of covid itself.

It seems to me that being locked down deprives most people of the chance to mingle with the opposite sex in social situations that lead to romance.

Unless you are locked in close quarters with a predator or abuser, and there definitely should be a mechanism for escaping such situations.

Natalia Kanem, executive director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), told The Lancet that she was concerned about the effect COVID-19 was having on women and girls. “In a word, it is devastating.

It's despicable. The lockdown rules were so poorly thought out and implemented, with no thought for what could go wrong. And, consequently, no effort to mitigate potential dangers.

One of many reasons why these mandates were wrong on every level. One-size-fits-all seldom fits all. Everyone should have been at liberty to take the necessary and proper precautions for themselves according to their own circumstances and needs. Government's role is to provide appropriate support and assistance for the people to do so.

But this plandemic was NEVER about the best interests of the people anyway...

Yep. I linked in another thread, but there was a story on the local news last night with a big scare headline about how a local hospital was "Overwhelmed as COVID Cases Continue to Rise!" as if it was COVID that was causing the overrun, but get into the story, and it's actually the people who got scared and deferred their medical care during the lock down. They either ran out of medication or let their conditions get so severe that things that should have been simple to treat or easily managed are now getting so bad they require hospitalization, and THAT's what's overwhelming the local health system.

And this thread illustrates just another one of those knock-on effects that's going to show us that in this case, the cure was actually worse than the disease.

I have that article up to read in another tab... thank you for saving me the trouble!

What's sad is that they know how many people will only read the headline and run with it. No interest or desire in knowing the whole truth of it.

It's also sad, of course, that so many people with health issues were put in this position to begin with.

I would never have even thought of the correlation between pregnancies and covid if I had not read this article. But it makes perfect sense that it would be true.

Teens not in school, if someone's eyes are not on them all day and night they will be gathering somewhere.

Who will care anyway. Here is how it goes.

Hence, images of a child model in lewd poses in a French mainstream magazine are cause for alarm: the underground of pedophilia is coming to the foreground; the pedophiles are becoming more brazen and shameless. The first reaction among the general public is usually shock, horror, followed by widespread controversy, then boredom and acceptance. Such is the pattern of the permissive society. Yesterday, it was Ingrid Bergman with an-out-of-wedlock pregnancy; today it is ten-year-old Thylane. Tomorrow, this controversy will look tame in comparison to the next perversion to make national headlines.

But it's worth it, because their doing their part to serve the greater good. No ones story is worth telling, suffer in silence. In 2024, they'll be praised as the silent heroes of the covid era.

/s off

Jesus christ, if it isn't apparent that people as individuals don't matter and are preferred dead. This proves it, all these cries about "but the children". Yeah, well, they're the ones still being raped and exploited. Horny teenagers with nothing better to do then rut.

Get off your virtual world and look at the physical world. You've left a terrible one for the next generation and failing then at the same time.
