This was just... Wow... Nancy has a HUGE ego issue. Too bad it is at the expense of the American people. She may represent but she does not know/understand. She is so disconnected from whom she claims to represent. Where she is from SF, It's a joke. The standard and cost of living... Ya know what? Let her go and make what the teachers make and have four other roomates. Still barely able to make ends meet. Stay in that other persons shoes for a while.... Then perhaps she can understand and properly represent the people. The social disconnect alone is enough for me to know she is not representing the people properly.

Why people like her... Dunno.

The people of SF that she represents will vote her back in, no contest.

They love their rotting city with feces all over the place.

Their politics and politicians made it that way and they love it, along with the maps that tell them where the worst of the feces, urine and homeless tents are. sf.curbed.com... : www.layercakelabs.com...

They adore socialist policies and far left liberal policies, it has made SF what it is today, a paradise for socialism and liberalism.

The residents of SF know that everywhere their beloved socialism has been put into practice that the elite political class live like kings and queens and the people are all equally living lower middle class lives which they consider just and fair.

Nancy will be back, no doubt. liberals will continue to hate anything or anyone who might be unfair and unjust by cleaning up their city and or God forbid try to restore the old American values and ideals that once made SF a great city.

The thing is, the EITC is already law. A bill does not need to go over every law already in existence just to amend one area. The bill also does not mention the amount of the Standard Deduction... doesn't matter because it doesn't change it.

Got it.

Hire round the clock nurse or nurse's aid to sit with him if that's allowed. That can cost a pretty penny and will also insure he gets proper care.

I feel I should pass along some info about my F.I.L.

He was an abusive alcoholic jerk to his family for decades. His dementia is a result of alcohol abuse.
After the divorce, 32yrs, he had no contact with his kids for nearly ten years and only called his ex when he needed something.

When My wife received a call from the police about him being brain fried she, being a better human that me, took it upon herself to get him proper care.

I would have told them to stick him in a ditch.

That being said... I won't do any more than the minimum for his comfort and pleasure.

Nancy Pelosi doesn't negotiate with news pundits. Ever.

I don't think he wanted her to negotiate, but just to simply answer a few questions. She couldn't and her frustration grew as the interview went on. I applaud Blitzer and he even named some dems who supported what he was saying. She crumbled and I actually expected her to melt like the witch in the wizard of Oz with all the facial expressions. I bet she had no idea she would be facing these kind of questions in a CNN interview of all places, maybe times are a changing. We can only hope.

That was a simple question not a negotiation.

The American people would get another check in the mail. She is concerned about how the special interest money that would benefit her constituents would be spent.

She’s crazy and heartless. People needed those stimulus checks months ago. More than anything else she’s arguing for, they need cash in their pockets right now. Anyone with the slightest bit of sense knows it, and the poor people desperate to put food on the table and pay their bills understand it all too well.

Why can’t she agree to send out checks ASAP and negotiate for the other stuff in one or more separate bills? I believe it’s exactly what Blitzer mentioned — she doesn’t want voters getting checks with Trump’s name on them and a boost to the economy before the election. She’s evil.

Millennials and Gen Z should be deeply concerned about the additional debt she wants to leave them. They’re the ones who’ll be paying for servicing that debt. They’re the ones who’ll have a much lower percentage of the federal budget doing anything besides servicing debt.

I don’t have much love for blitzer but I got to give him a nod for this interview.
He didnt let crazy Nancy just dodge around her answer.

It does show how ef’d up politics are though.
When a few hundred billion would probably take care of the biggest problems they add a trillion more for pet projects.

Exactly. If you gave each of the 330 million people in America $1,200 each, that would total $396 billion. Why not do that immediately and negotiate the other stuff separately?

why should they be concerned about it? remember the democrats keep on telling them that they will make the rich pay for everything, in their true idealism of communists. even though even if you took every penny from the rich, they couldn't even pay for individual parts of everything they are promising. yet since these poor, indoctrinated idiots can't see that the rich do not have an unending supply of money to be taxed out of, they are not concerned about spending.

Because then the people wouldn't have any stake in it, and there's no pressure from the public for it.

From an objective point of view( Canadian) the quote above disgusted me. smiling and bobbing as she said it.
Surprised she hasn't offered all of you a hamster wheel and some shavings as well.

What a hag

I think her concern is that people would see this as coming from Trump. She doesn't want to send out checks that would benefit Trump in the race. If the move is right or wrong will depend on how people take it. Odds are pretty good they won't blame congress for not getting money. But I could be wrong and there will be a backlash in voting will see.

While i am not a neurologist, i would like to point out that Pelosi's hands look like the hands of someone with brain damage. Either tardive dyskinesia, or wet brain.

I worked in mental health long enough to know what that means.

Well, you have obviously had more experience with those two syndromes than I, so I'll have to bow to your superior knowledge. I personally didn't see anything physical but frustration, but I also know knowing what to look for is four thirds of the battle.

I did look up both syndromes. Tardive dyskinesia is caused by the use of anti-psychotic drugs, which I doubt Madam Speaker Too Much has been taking; with the present political climate, Fox would likely be broadcasting that from high heaven if anyone found out, and it would be very hard to keep anti-psychotics a secret. Wet brain, however, is caused by excessive and prolonged alcohol consumption. The fact that Nancy's blood alcohol is measured in proof instead of blood alcohol levels like normal people makes me raise a couple eyebrows at that possibility.

The sad part is, tardive dyskinesia seems to have a much more promising prognosis than wet brain. Tardive dyskinesia isn't usually that mentally damaging, but wet brain is another story completely. The info I found referred to it as "alcohol dementia" because it affects reasoning, memory, and emotion, none in a good way. Neither are curable or reversible, but one is substantially more debilitating than the other.

Looks like Uncle Quid Pro Joe might have company in the mental ward... as a human being I cannot take pleasure in that, but I can call it like it is. You have a good point.

"And we represent them". I know she doesn't have a functioning brain cell in her body, but does she actually believe she represents anyone but herself and her own radical party's interests? Is she delusional on top of being a liar? She's the poster child for term limits. Recall the witch.
