I told ya! Gotta elect it to see what's in it.

Either that or his handlers probably didn't even bother telling him the plans. It's on a Joe-not-need-to-know basis.

The sad truth is americans can either vote for Trump or for Trump because everyone else are corrupt and awfull people.

Joe Biden is miscalculating and underestimating the American people. This is no longer the era of record players, and only women stocking the grocery shelves.

His boss put one over on us with ObamaCare, but Joe is crude by comparison.

Better to have the devil that you know, than the devil that you don't know.

Democrats are always hiding their true nefarious intentions.

Americans over age 50 know "the devil" named Joe Biden pretty well. It's just too bad they can't admit that he's nowhere near the same guy he was just 5 years ago.

Even in 2017, when he bragged on camera about the Ukraine Extortion he committed, Joe was fairly sharp.

Joe is nothing more than a communist shadow trying to become an American president.

He's a nobody trying to be somebody.

Yet his economic policies say otherwise. His voting record in the house shows that he doesn't favor things such as the nationalization of industry, which is a pretty big thing for communists.

Communists also hold that concepts such as race are artificial constructs that have no place in a socialist society. Yet Bidden seems like an Affirmative action kinda guy, and he's been on record as saying that race is an important issue in modern day America.

Bidden can't be a communist and yet hold ideologies that communists consider to be abhorrent.

That's like calling somebody a white supermisist, and then watching them donate millions to black scholarship programs.

Bidens plans include stepping down and letting harris screw up the country. He is not going to let that be known till after he is president. He likes it in his mancave basement now.

If Bidden planned that, then why choose a weak character like Harris?

Surely he'd have chosen somebody more able to be president in their own right, or at least somebody with a stronger ideological background?

In fact, why even bother, wouldn't it just have been simpler for Bidden to stand down and let "whoever" run for office themself?

Are you really that clueless or are you trolling?
Trump was talking about adding conservative judges to open seats.
Biden is talking about adding seats.

The OP's point is that Biden is not talking about anything of the sort!

HOWEVER....

Biden is silent now on court-packing stance, but in 1983 he called it a 'bonehead' idea.

Article w/Video Clip: www.foxnews.com...

I guess that's his current stance, unless Biden says otherwise?

I went to a car lot yesterday. I found a nice, shiny new car that looked wonderful. I asked the salesman how much it cost.

"We don't divulge that information until you buy it."

Strange... but it was such a nice car! So I asked about the warranty.

"We give that information out when you buy it."

Even stranger. I was tempted to walk away, but I asked one more question... did they finance?

"Yes, we do!"

"Awesome! So what's the interest rate?"

"You'll get that information in the mail after you're approved."

"How will I know how much my payments are?"

"You'll get that information after you're approved."

Now I'm not sure what to do. I really, really want that car, but I don't know how much it'll cost, what warranty it comes with, what the interest rate will be, or how much my payments will be. Should I buy the car and find out?

What, try and pack the supreme court like Trump has?

I'm going to post this once, and if you get it, you get it. I will not attempt to combat willful ignorance.

"Packing the court" is a colloquialism that indicates the artificial creation of court vacancies by legislatively increasing the number of seats on the court at a time when it will benefit a particular political party. It does not refer to filling seats which become vacant due to death, illness, or resignation. That is the Constitutional duty of the President and Senate.

Trump has not, and no one in his administration has even mentioned, packing the Supreme Court. Several Democratic leaders in Congress have threatened to do so by increasing the number of Justices if they get control of the Senate and Presidency. Therefore it becomes a legitimate question for the Democratic nominee for President.

Lesson over.

Has Biden ever said that he would pack the Supreme Court?

He has, several times, said that he wouldn't:

Like in January 2019, where, in an interview with The New York Times, he said he would have "no judicial reforms".

Then in July, he said he was "not prepared to go on and try to pack the court."

Then in October, he said he "would not get into court-packing".

And then there is the post above by carewemust which purports that Biden, in 1983 said that packing the supreme court was a "bonehead idea" (with a link to this Fox News article).

Perhaps he isn't going to pack the supreme court, then, and it is just an attempt to introduce a red-herring topic to distract from the actual pertinent ones under debate?

People are asking for his stance on it now, so they can cast an informed vote. Other democrats have made the threat of court packing to try and force trump to shirk his duty with filling the seat. He is not really doing himself any favors by telling us we have to vote for the bill before we can see what's in it.

I agree.

It was the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her replacement by someone more right-wing friendly that unbalanced the supremes from four liberals to five conservatives, to three liberals to six conservative judges. And that's already a done deal which because the term of supreme court judges is lifetime, means that this imbalance will stand for years, and Presidencies to come.

The most sensible solutions compliant with the Constitution would be to have extra supreme court judges, to hopefully balance things better, or to impose term limits.

I'm for imposing term limits for supreme court judges through a Constitutional amendment raised by Congress, passed by the Senate, and validated through a public referendum.

It was explained very nicely today why Joe Biden is keeping quiet. It's because most liberal Democrats want additional liberal Justices. They want extra seats added...what's known as "packing the court".

Since his past statements indicate that he is against packing the court, Joe Biden would lose a huge swath of Democrats if he were to say, "See my past statements!".

Once the door is opened to adding Justices, where does it stop?

Anyway, can't the justices themselves rule that adding additional seats will not be allowed?

After-all, it's THEIR court, is it not?

No. That ruling would be against precedent and US law. The size of the Supreme Court is set by 28 USC § 1:

The Supreme Court of the United States shall consist of a Chief Justice of the United States and eight associate justices, any six of whom shall constitute a quorum.
That statute was enacted in 1948.

The Constitution does not specify the number of Justices that sit upon the Supreme Court, so based on Article I, Section 8, Item 9, the court has allowed the Congress to also set the size of the Supreme Court via statute. To change that now would constitute a breach of established precedent, a change that should require Constitutional agreement.

We cannot destroy the public trust in the law in order to save the law. That is not proper. The only way to truly fix this issue would be to amend the Constitution to specify the size of the Supreme Court.

So you believe the Supreme Court should be a politically-driven body like the Congress? A rubber stamp on whatever Congress should pass? No need for a check or balance on the power of Congress?

You are not a US citizen. If you get to tell us how our Constitution works, I suppose we get to determine New Zealand law. We'll start by removing any restrictions on gun ownership and removing any regulations on face masks.
