I knew when Omar won, it was thanks to little Somalia, south of the river in the cities. No sources, but I recall somalians threatening to deport their own people if they didn't vote for her, shut down their businesses and etc.

But of course, some people did something. Used to be proud of being a Minnesotan, until I learned about the twin cities political games. Now the rest of the state is forced along with the band wagon.

What i'm asking is how do We as a nation take care of this .

I'm sorta shocked myself that 100% responsibility is upon me to save everyone from themselves but I was sorta born for these types of challenges so I'll come up with something.

In local elections that can be decided by dozens, it wouldn't take much of that sort of thing to decide an election.

For local politicians, stuff like that can make a lot of effect on the outcome. People can be talked into voting for someone if they do not know anything about the candidate, deceiving in politics is very common. It always has been. They find local influential people to promote politicians all the time, that also has been happening since I was young and probably before.

California....actors....people who grew up where everyone is an actor, I totally understand how they got that way. Look at Trump, he was an actor, but not a very good one. I could always tell he was acting in his show.

There is and always has been quite a bit of cheating going on in elections, it is the definition that defines if it is allowable or not. Campaign promises are rarely carried out, they may try a little, but know they cannot be accomplished before they even run for office. I was actually kind of impressed that Obama tried to get what he campaigned for. He fought hard, too bad he listened to the wrong people when setting up Obamacare, it failed miserably. I thought it would be better than what we had, I guess I was naive.

I would rather see socialized medicine in this country for just the basic insurance, and put limitations on what it can be used for and which meds qualify, sort of like what they have in some socialized medicine countries. Ours is not good healthcare, and is way overpriced, Health care should not be for profit, and we need to get real jobs producing things in this country so we don't need the medical industry to be a major employer....it used to be reasonable priced when they did not give everyone so much tests and therapies to create jobs for people. I saw this get way out of hand in the last twenty or so years.

Its not thank god. So stop bogarting this thread and move along.

There are people that will stand up if the need arises but there is more constructive ways to do things. If you dont like a local law petition to have it changed. If you have a problem with a politician get off your duff and help get someone else elected. go volunteer to help out a candidate you agree with. Donate towards their campaign to help them. If you arent doing these things then for the most part your ok with whats happening.

If you dont want to do politics fine help out your community either way complainng never solved a problem that im aware of.

And this along with the eventual fraud that occurs in each State's Presidential election needs to be invalidated (or not counted toward the national election). Eject them from the Union if you have to.

That’s a hefty can of Martyr Dew you’ve got there. I didn’t realize they made them that big but ya might want to stop chugging it.

Many people are not happy with the country right now but only very few want to spill blood over it. I know I’d prefer that we didn’t enter any kind of civil war. As stupid as some of the stuff going on is, I believe we’ve come far enough as humans that we don’t need to kill each other to resolve an issue.

We constructed this mess, we can deconstruct it. It certainly did not occur naturally, it wasn’t here before us and it won’t be here after us.

Many of my friends are on the left and even they are very unhappy with the way things are going right now. None of them are excited about Biden, none of them are happy to see the idiocy going on in the BLM/Antifa cities, none of them are happy with the covid situation.

The crux of this situation is the political system. The people are just useful idiots that prop that system up. So I fully agree that we caused this and let it turn into what it’s turned into. It’s very easy to sit here on ATS and get worked up about it, but I think the one thing all of the last 3.5 years has shown the American public is how f*cking insane all of this is. The media going after Trump, the back and forth games our politicians play, identity politics tearing people apart, the lunacy of having Biden run....it’s all a giant sh*tshow and while it’s looking bleak, it generally gets worse before things get better. I think right now we’re in that worst period and like all things, this is temporary.

I believe there will be a backlash against all of this crap. It’s a running theme here for posters to comment on Marxist/leftist/socialist/communists/pedophile democrats, but in reality, those are the minority within the party, just like the left tries claiming everyone on the right is a racist/bigot/white supremacist/voter restricting republican. It’s not reality. I think the common man just wants to be able to go to work, put food on the table and enjoy their lives. Politics have now become shoved down everyone’s throat and for people who just don’t give a sh*t about the childish back and forth our politicians partake in, it’s viewed as a complete waste of taxpayer money that we have to get up and go to work for.

So in the end, I think all this craziness IS building up to something. I’m praying it’s not the civil war I see many here clamoring for, I’m hopeful that is’a revolt again the system that has run wild and the media that shoves it down our throats. The two parties both need to be kicked in the balls and then smacked in the mouth while they’re catching their breath. They need to be put in their place and it needs to be made VERY clear that they are only able to live the way they live because WE pay for them to do so. They are no longer serving us, they haven’t been for a long time. It’s due time this bites them in the ass.

It was weird considering her opponent was pulling in small donors bucks vastly more then Omar was. In fact, one would say that her campaign was of little significance, more a check off the block type deal.
