Lord Stanley’s Cup, COVID-19 edition

I missed game one Monday due to stoopid football so only realized that the Cup had started. Grrr! Thanks to 2020 the sports world is just one big asterisk (like we need a reminder...)

I watched the divisional playoffs and “my” teams were eliminated, one by one.

Aight! So Stars vs Lightening in empty seats... weird year...

I am OK with it.

But it really lends itself to listening to music instead of the crowd and commentary!!

Then on Wednesday, Tampa Bay took it to 5 - 1 for the middle part of the game. End result of 5 -2.

Seems one team got a speech and the ire of coach.

Here we sit in a n action pack hockey game worthy of admiration!!!

I'm watching great game but it's missing the crowds the screaming yelling fans. I'm a sports junkie pretty much not a huge hockey fan since my team moved away. There is no better sport to wacth in person than hockey.

All my teams were either eliminated or never qualified.
Now I am forced to cheer for a team I don't know well, except for Pavelski.
GO, DALLLAS!!!!

I don't mind the taped cheers, it beats the heck out of silly fans pounding on the glass.

I hope the regular season is allowed to start December-January.
Without politics.

Yeah, the crowd missing is waaaaaayyyy different (kind of like watching a live game, of any type of hockey, and one on TV. There is no comparison! But, besides tennis and golf, the sport to most benefit from HD is hockey!)

I kind of liked having hockey in September!!

I mean, here we are in game three and heading to overtime!!

Good stuff and don’t care who is playing! Just some temporal drama to pass the time!!



(and Jesus. It has taken over week to smile again... the past sucks!! Enjoy the frozen sport and hope that your team does well! Me? Just a spectator to a season that is still going on! And that is OK with me!

I wasn't even aware they'd gone back to the ice, damn.

And the Lightning are beating the Stars, no less? Home team of mine, represent! I really like the Stars, too (best years were with Belfour and Mr Sexy -- I mean, Mike Modano) so I feel kinda bad having to snub them for the Bolts. But it IS hockey, there's plenty of regional forgiveness to go around

Imma Canucks fan hurt watching them lose overall for hockey. I’ll never cheer for another team but still stocked the season continues. ... all the best in the draft

Sadly for me I am a Detroit fan when it comes to hockey. It might be a while before I have anything to cheer about.

Some year, maybe it'll happen, the Canucks will have a good year and be a good team. Hasn't happened in my lifetime yet and i just can't see the point in watching a sport where it's pointless rooting for my home team...then again, the Lions game and Whitecaps(soccer, don't ask, they were free tickets, we were so bored we left at half time and i'm guessing it was an 'exciting game', some dude got kicked in the nuts, but still so god awfully boring like literally falling asleep in the freezing cold out of boredom.) games i went to were pretty lackluster too. Vancouver's just #ty at sports.

Screw Dallas. Them and their Cowboys also(worst set of fans ever). VGK should have handled them but got mind screwed by Damkos in the series before. Damned how one goalie can screw a team up yet not win the series and it carries over to the next.
