There´s been a lot of news lately that the Democrats have turned a couple of Republican Senators to vote against Trump´s SCOTUS seat - but are the Democrats positive that no-one of the Democrat Senators will not vote pro Trump? I´m sure that many Democrat Senators like some of the women on Trump´s SCOTUS seat list.

What are your thoughts?

Here's how it's going to go:

Day 1 "We've got the votes to confirm"
Day 2 "All is good"
Day 3 "Some democrats will vote for!!!!"
Day 4 "Pelosi, Schumer threaten"
Day 5 "Confirmation doubtful as some Republicans waffle"
Day 6 "More threats"
Day 7 "democrats use unusual move to delay confirmation"

Yes.
Why ?
A woman nomination .
Best to play the game here.
It's trendy to be on the winning side.

Not if its the deciding vote. You might see someone like Joe Manchin or Doug Jones make a political calculation to vote for the nominee if the GOP has the votes without them.

At this stage, it seems as though the GOP does, in fact, have the votes to push it through. Most of the potential squishes have actually announced their intention to support Trump on this one. The Dems still need two more...assuming Murkowski and Collins actually plan to vote 'no' rather than abstain from voting...and they're rapidly running out of RINOs.

agree wi Vor
democrats are basically fascists. they will not tolerate mavericks (like the Republicans did with McCain)

if they know they will lose by multiple votes they might allow somebody like Manchin to break ranks for re-election purposes. they've done that in the House several times.

Who cares.

We got the votes for Trumps 3rd justice.

Hahahahaha

They have no loyalty to their party if they are in a tight race. Nobody is going to help the neighborhood civic center from flooding if their own home is at risk of flooding.

Fortunately there are enough people on hand to save the civic center. Collins was the only one but her house was already condemned before this flood. She is going to lose re-election.

Why can't the dems just do whatever the repubs did to deny oboma his pick?

I forget what it is they did to stop obama from exercising his constitutional right to pick a sotus?

The Republicans were in control of the Senate and did not permit hearings to be held on his nomination.

The republicans controlled the Senate at the time as they do now. So the Dems only hope is to pray for some RINO’s we don’t know about.

They didn't do anything, except ignore the nomination and allow it to lapse. The Republicans had a 54-46 majority in the Senate at the time. Additionally, the filibuster for SC nominees was also still in effect at the time. The Dems would have needed to peel away 14 votes from the GOP in order to confirm Merrick Garland.

There was zero chance he was ever going to be confirmed.

Some Democrats don't want to campaign these last 40 days, explaining how they will vote against a strong, smart, Catholic, Mom, Mother, Wife. Amy Coney-Barrett epitomizes achievement of the American dream.

Now that Mitt Romney is onboard with replacing Ruth Bader-Ginsburg ASAP, SMART Democrats have nothing to lose by supporting ACB's nomination, and voting to approve her.

LOL

Obama nominated Judge Merrick Garland.

The Senate didn't take up the vote because they knew he had no majority LOL

in 2016, nothing illegal or unconstitutional was done by anybody concerning the SCOTUS nomination 😃

listening to Rush

Republicans might skip the hearings and have a direct vote.
good idea. hearings will be nothing but a circus in which democrats humiliate and harass. which they have done to all Republican SCOTUS nominees for years.

alternatively, they might allow hearings to let the democrats look like idiots attacking a female (possible Latina).

I think the perfect gaslight would be for Trump to name Kamala Harris as a possible alternate nominee while announcing his actual pick...

I'm not against skipping the hearings altogether, especially if the nominee was recently confirmed to a lower court, but it would give the usual RINOs an excuse to bail. They're going to have to do it, but they need to find a way to prevent the Dems from turning it into a clown circus freak show like they did with the Kavanaugh hearings.

Funeral director Chuck Schumer was just explaining why Republicans should not appoint a Ruth Ginsburg replace with this year.

Some started screaming... stop lying to the people!.. forcing him to shut up, lol.
