Just announced on FOX.
Details coming.

Currently, FOX is giving a history of her life.
I'll post more as details become available...as of now, they are not giving specifics concerning her actual cause of death.
RIP, RBG.

Wow, now ... what will they do about it?

Will they follow the rationale and not try to get someone through like they did with Obama's appointment. I can see this one though. We're less than 100 days out on this election.

This timing is going to open a can of worms

Honestly that is not surprise at all. Reading between the lines, you knew something like that had to be up. They never said it, but the things they were doing for treatment and the things they weren't saying ... it was a reasonable conclusion to draw that she had stage 4 going on.

Regardless, RIP Justice Ginsburg.

She was an activist justice.

I hope she finds the peace in death that she didn't find in life.

RIP

This changes the landscape a good deal in what people want to see as her replacement. I'll Bet that Trump wins and puts in a Female conservative.

Get ready for the onslaught of the year by Democrats !!

They will politicize to the hilt.

She herself was very political outside the Court so. . . . 🥽

So she didn't make it to the election. Rest in peace Ruth. I'm sure Nancy is disappointing.

I can’t say I cared much for the old bat but I still send my condolences to her family for their loss.

Indeed, this is going to be explosive.

All respects though to RBG and family.

Interesting Trump released a list of SC appointee candidates just two days ago.

I would assume this would be an open secret at certain levels of government even if not common public knowledge. You would have to know that your high court could suddenly be compromised.

But even so, releasing a list of SCOTUS nominees is pretty par for the course for most campaigns. I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen one from the Hidin' Camp.

Wisdom would say that Trump defuels the critics and simply makes a SCOTUS appointment a campaign issue.

I think she meant well and actually worked hard. I may not agree with much or most of her position, but I can't say the first sentence about a vast majority of elected officials.

RIP RGB. I will take persistence and what I perceived to be genuine intentions over most of what society has to offer any day of the week.

I'm not sure.

I think it would be somewhat disrespectful to rush to a replacement like wolves to a carcass. I also think any appointment before the election would appear to be a rush to replace her. A nomination in a week or two would be OK, but I don't think the Senate should consider the nomination until after the election.

This doesn't exactly follow the Obama attempt to replace Scalia, in that Trump is not a lame duck. Obama was, and was thus guaranteed to be out of office shortly. Still, there is such a thing as respect. I'm not saying McConnell won't take it up, just that maybe he shouldn't.

I guess we'll see.
