I'm not refuting that there's revisionists in the US, it happens. Evangelicals have been trying to do it for decades now. BLM were trying to do it as well.
But why does it need a sweeping reform from executive branches? How far will it go?
He's not promoting 'Patriotic Education'. He wants to eliminate any education that addresses race disparity or promotes racial tolerance.

Hopefully this special education he's calling for helps promote some critical thinking about our history. You can love your country but not love everything it's done. I can be a patriot and still constantly question my government, which, in my opinion, is the most patriotic thing you can do.
