Yawn @ this thread. What about indigenous people's land?

I’m so sick of this limp d!ck argument.
We conquered this land. We paid in blood. It is ours has happened hundreds of times in civilized history and will happen hundreds of more times when you are dead and forgotten. Get over it

Actually, the forest fire in California called the Camp Fire, which was caused by PG&E, burned down a town and cost roughly 15 billion. Man made fire due to lack of PM on equipment. 88 people died. No politics, no BLM, no ANTIFA.

That adds up to $1.42 billion today, which is still lower than the $2 billion Black Lives Matter Riots estimate — which again only covers eight or nine days of rioting that has never really stopped.

911 was the most costly manmade damage to American property, coming in at $2 trillion in damage.

Counting the value of lives lost as well as property damage and lost production of goods and services, losses already exceed $100 billion. Including the loss in stock market wealth -- the market's own estimate arising from expectations of lower corporate profits and higher discount rates for economic volatility -- the price tag approaches $2 trillion.

The loss of four civilian aircraft valued at $385 million.

The destruction of major buildings in the World Trade Center with a replacement cost of from $3 billion to $4.5 billion.

Damage to a portion of the Pentagon: up to $1 billion.

Cleanup costs: $1.3 billion.

Property and infrastructure damage: $10 billion to $13 billion.

Federal emergency funds (heightened airport security, sky marshals, government takeover of airport security, retrofitting aircraft with anti-terrorist devices, cost of operations in Afghanistan): $40 billion.

Direct job losses amounted to 83,000, with $17 billion in lost wages.

The amount of damaged or unrecoverable property hit $21.8 billion.

Losses to the city of New York (lost jobs, lost taxes, damage to infrastructure, cleaning): $95 billion.

Losses to the insurance industry: $40 billion.

Loss of air traffic revenue: $10 billion.

Fall of global markets: incalculable.

funny you want to play whataboutisms (your favorite game, but you hardly ever win
... ) care to take a stab at the dollar amount BLM could be for loss of jobs taxes air traffic etc? A case could easily be made the protests have DRAMATICALLY continued the lockdowns, so it’s not a stretch to connect all of covid unemployment to BLM continuing the lockdown effort keeping Millions of Americans without work. The loss in tax revenue must be in the billions, billions being poured out the other way on unemployment. If riots and constant protests were not taking place and we focused on the pandemic America would have “flattened the curve”.

First you have to provide PROOF that the fires are due to BLM. Yea, I know, there are LOTS of right-wing posts that someone's cousin knows someone who talked to a guy that saw a BLM person starting a fire. But no one in an official capacity has been able to make that connection and several early 'connections' have proved false. Like that guy that walked up and shot those two deputies and the subsequent 'protest' at the hospital. Those 'protestors' have come forward and they are an entirely different group with an entirely different political agenda. They have said outright that they are not part of BLM or antifa. However, they and the shooter (who has yet to be identified) were immediately linked to BLM and produced many pages of posts to that effect on ATS.

For the REAL BLM movement, any violence or destruction runs counter to their goals and what they stand for. It makes NO sense for them to do the things they are being accused of. Donald and his Right are using BLM as a political prop and fictionalizing events to help his campaign. You're being played.

Yes it is.

While President Trump lashes out at rioting and
looting in Portland and Kenosha,
half way around the world, the USA is plundering and
looting Syria on a vastly greater scale with
impunity and little publicity.

Plundering and Looting

I disagree, the shutdowns are going to cost us well over $10trillion when it's all said and done.

All because we let radical leftists brain wash lower IQ kids in the school system. Vote them out. All of the loss has been caused by them. Don't reward them. Remove them from power. If you don't like Trump vote for another third party. Not the cause of the problem (leftist radicals).

Yeah, it was just a Democrat thing, no Republicans shut anything down. Thank the Baby Jesus for all the Fauxservatives out there.

You can’t believe covid was not spread from the “protests” and rioters. You’re just lying if you think it wasn’t. So far your flat statement doesn’t offer much to support your weak opinion.

As always.

There’s a real and a fake BLM movement? How do you tell the difference? What if someone does something bad but says it’s for BLM, that’s how you know it’s the fake one, right?

Since you left the conversation I’ll answer... you’ve been the one played. You’ve disconnected all the evil done in the name of BLM because you have some glorified version of what they stand for in your head. When people say your lives don’t matter, and they have, when people are killed in the name of... and you say it’s disconnected from the true movement, that’s the other mess over there just ignore it? You say I’m being played but you can’t even embrace what BLM does. It must be nice to live in ignorance.
