I Give Up - CT 2020

I have watched for over four decades, just like thousands of others like me.

I have watched as ideologies become justifications for evil.

Sure, there has always been a faction of right-minded individuals striving to make it better.

That used to be enough for me to protest.

It used to be enough to make me want to take a stand.

But I grow tired of fighting for those that will never change and will bring new generations of backwards thinking into being.

So tonight, I gaze into the fire, knowing that tomorrow I will rejoin my race as we attack.
