Well, it's not about Trump. It is about what people want from government.

No. It's about Trump. Even Republicans are sick of Trump's lies, crimes, cruelty, divisiveness and deep state paranoia.

If/when Biden wins, it will be because of Republicans.

No.

Simply, it's about the type of government that you want.

You want one type.

I prefer another.

There will be no compromise.

Couldnt agree more. Take it, or leave it.

No. But I said quite a bit in that post and I am asking, just which parts are you questioning.

The whole damn post
It would take a normal person hours to sift through what you claimed
Check into it
And make a call one way or another
Compare that to my claims made in the post prior to yours
The average person could Google the Congress in 1979
Get the 96th Congress
And verify my claim within minutes
You can't just make a half dozen claims about the quality of life years ago without proof

And who is funding the govts purchase of this vaccine before it has even become a reality? I do believe it is the taxpayers. So, will these taxpayers get this vaccine free, since they have already paid for it

Don't worry, we will have been vaccinned to death by then

I just want people to live without any strings attached. Too easy. Edit. I guess that could not be completely true.

Well, I dont want a change in the govt that is gonna collapse major portions of the economy!!
I haven't really looked into the bit about universal income to know exactly what they are suggesting. But we do need a way to bring the cost of living, the wages, and the govt giveaways more on par with each other and if done right, a universal income could help us do that.
And, while I really dont like the idea of the govt meddling in the healthcare system, it seems that all the horror stories we hear would happen are already here... only it's the insurance companies that have control. And, if you think about it....
We already have socialized healthcare!! We just call it health insurance.
As far as the govt taking care of the poor, the elderly, the sick and disabled... that has been going on since Victorian times. What do you think the workhouses and poor houses were? We've just learned to be a little kinder. Even colonial america had laws to provide for the widows, elderly, and disabled.

I kind of get the impression that yous just want to cut off all these aid programs, cold turkey. But, have you thought about the reverberations doing such a thing would cause throughout our economy? All that taxpayer money is like herion flowing through just about every segment of our economy. Our economy needs to be weaned off it gently, slowly, carefully.

It was good growing up in a world where I did trust government. People openly talking about the issues and taking a well reasoned common sense approach to the challenges of the day.

It sucks learning just how political it all is. One way to help cut out a lot of the corruption is for everyone to have their bank accounts transparent, starting at the world bank down. I know a lot of people that are over paid and under worked do not want this, it is embarrassing for them, like getting busted stealing.

You want a change in government type where you won't have to be responsible for yourself any longer.

A "civil" education is needed. The knowledge of reading, (not just reading, but comprehension) writing and arithmetic are essential to the "welfare" of citizens and Nation. Indoctrination is not.
The founders fought to deprive the States of a centralized government (crown). The states/people committed troops in that cause.

It is a "royal" Shi* show now! We got the "Republican" Bush family, supporting Biden?..

History does indeed, repeat itself.

Regardless.

Well...
The bit about the value of the govt benefits is from a readers digest article I read probably around the time that newt and friends, along with clinton were changing the welfare programs. It placed the average value(between all the states) for a family of four with no income as being the equivalent of a 10 dollar an hour job. We were living in New York at the time. New york was more generous than many states. We were a family of five with my husband making less than 9 an hour... and we didnt qualify for jack.
The republicans are probably on record pointing out this flaw as a justification for revamping the welfare system.
Years later, when my kids were old enough that I could get back in the workforce, the lady that I ran press with worked quite a bit of overtime. But she knew exactly when she couldnt work more hours without losing the govt subsidized healthcare for her son. And, when your neighbor is telling you that the reason her husband just moved out was because the social worker told them it was the only way outside of foster care they could get help with the medical Bill's their baby who was born prematurely with undeveloped lungs and so often spending time in the hospital, well what can I say...
Then there was the rat infested apartment with the leaky sewage pipes that HUD was paying $1000 a month for in syracuse... I imagine that there were many who wouldnt qualify for any type of assistance who couldnt have afforded that place, or want it for that matter. But, I think that can be attributed to all that corruption I spoke of in my first post, both on the landlords side as well as whoever was running the HUD program in the city.

"If a husband doesnt want his wife working, then she shouldnt be working." Was said by no liberal, ever!!
It was said by a southern Baptist minister though...
I'm a female, the only thing the christian right wants me to be responsible for is making babies, cooking food, cleaning house, and keeping the husband happy..
Providing for us was supposed to be his responsibility!!

Ok, your right according to you. So why so many illegal people crossing the border if it was already so horrible that you have to pay for?

Truthfully here, that's at the Democrats' feet

So it's the fault of the Democrats that Trump couldn't walk the talk, lead and get his promises done?

What did you expect? He walks into the whitehouse and does whatever he wants? He's in a position to lead. That responsibility lies solely with him. That, alongside a GOP controlled senate and a majority congress as the start of his term.

So...what you're saying is...the House and Senate have diddly to do with anything that could eventually be signed into law, the Democrats haven't been furiously blocking everything that floats through either one that doesn't favor their demands alone, and Trump should what, storm in, shove 'em all out of his way and do it all himself?

TF kind of government system have you deluded yourself into thinking we have here anyway?

The problem is a conservative government is incompatible with a late stage capitalist society such as ours. We figured this out years ago at the turn of the 20th century, and thankfully we had Theodore Roosevelt who understood that in order to preserve American freedom it was necessary to restrict big fat cat bankers & corporations from completely exploiting us. The biggest threat to your freedom these days is the elite, billionaire class and the corporations. Why do conservatives have such a fear of George Soros and Bill Gates? Perhaps it's the exorbitant multi-billion dollar personal wealth they use to obtain an inordinate amount of power and influence over the American political landscape. Why do people have such a profound lack of trust in their representatives? Is it because their votes overwhelming coincide with the views of donors and Super PACs over that of the people they were elected to represent?

Late stage capitalism has allowed a handful of ridiculously wealthy people to buy off all of our politicians. They control the MSM and any public narrative you hear. Our only hope at combating them is taking back our government and "making it bigger" by finally putting some major restrictions on these bastards ability to influence so much of our lives. Capitalism itself isn't a bad thing, but we need to clean it up because we've let it fester unchecked and allowed the "winners of capitalism" take over. Our government represents them, not us. We don't even have a seat at the table. If the conservatives had their way the exploitation would be even worse. There would be no debate over in-person vs virtual classes because your children would be spending 12 hours a day in a coal mine instead of being in an evil, "socialist ploy" like school.

So to the leftists, the authoritarians, the Biden supporters and voters. . . . . why can't you just admit that you don't want compromise, you want surrender.

Or they will kill you after stealing from you, burning down your homes and business, and rewriting their own history to make themselves out to be 'hero's'.
