Trump. Orange Man Bad.

Well, it's not about Trump. It is about what people want from government.

And that's why we can never compromise.

Too many people want government to take care of them cradle to grave. Healthcare, schooling, housing, hell. . . even food.

Some of us still believe government should be small. Fight wars, deliver mail, keep the interstate roads in good repair.

I've spoken to many who want equal outcomes regardless of the effort.

Call it communism, socialism, authoritarianism, fascism . . . . . it all boils down to a corrupt government (equally admitted by all) have more power, control.

We will never be able to compromise because too many want different things. In order to compromise, we have to have an initial agreement to an end goal.

And our goals are different.

So to the leftists, the authoritarians, the Biden supporters and voters. . . . . why can't you just admit that you don't want compromise, you want surrender.

You want authoritarian rule. You want government healthcare, you want government mandated control over outcomes.

You don't want equal opportunity.

That is Exactly what a Representative Government For the People and By the People should be in a Democratic Republic . Those who Might Disagree with that should Maybe Move to Another Country , and Good Luck with that ....

Kind of sounds to me like you want surrender. You are the one refusing to compromise. Or, at least saying there can be no compromise.

How can there be compromise when you want one type of government and I prefer another?

I'm totally willing to compromise on two points, to keep a cross-isle debate simple -- you cannot exist very long without water, thus, it should be considered a basic right that safe, clean water is freely available regardless of one's economic status in life. I can get behind re-purposing an existing tax for this, such as the retail or junk food/pre-made/hot foods tax. Even the homeless end up shopping at some point out of pocket, everyone would end up contributing to this one way or the other, thus everyone would benefit from it in the end regardless.

The other is food. I'm certainly not saying give anyone who wants one an EBT card with no cap, I mean between the government stores that we have & rotate out, in conjunction with the heavily subsidized agricultural industry should render at LEAST the basic grains (wheat, barley, rice) a simple food stipend, optional for claiming. It won't be the most interesting meals, but you'd never go hungry, hardtack (for example) has fed folks for a long time just fine (even I've made it! Not complicated, and actually not bad) I could also see the aforementioned tax options being applicable here.

But try debating for it as a compromise, it's "never enough". Of course not, it's the baseline safety net, it's the bare basics. Be grateful we could even swing it, instead of demanding the proverbial blank check, jeebus.

No. It's about Trump. Even Republicans are sick of Trump's lies, crimes, cruelty, divisiveness and deep state paranoia.

If/when Biden wins, it will be because of Republicans.

And how far has that gotten the Trump administration after 4 years?

Truthfully here, that's at the Democrats' feet in DC. They've done far less to compromise than the Republicans have. The clearest and most present example being the stimulus/rescue packages they want the King's Ransom from. Even I have to admit those amounts the Democrats are demanding are ludicrous, and mostly pork.

You hit the nail on the head.

They want Supremacy and not Equality.

There is no room for public dissent without punishment from the Progressive mob.

You may want to point out that America was formed as a certain type of government and they want another one entirely....

So they are by definition tyrants.

Traitors to the American way and they should stand down and surrender now, before we have to do once again what we had to do in our last Civil war.

Kick the Democrat's asses.

But that would have been just where I would have gone..

S&F.

S&F for the finest piece of projection I’ve seen written here in a long time. Completely misunderstanding what it is people other than yourself want, and accusing them of what the political party you preach fealty to does every time they’re in power without question.

If you guys ever took the time to figure out what it is, what it really is that people on the left are wanting (and not the warped right wing version of it) I think you’d find that it isn’t unreasonable at all. But that would take stepping out of your comfort zone and media bubble, and having to admit you’re wrong about certain things.

You’re either too old, too callous, too out of touch or too brainwashed for that to ever be a possibility. So your fate seems to be one shared by most posters here. Doomed to exist in a world of fictional conservative paranoia. You’re right about compromise not being possible. Because how does one compromise with a person who lives in a completely fictional reality? The same generation who taught me to not believe everything I read now believes everything they see on the internet that reinforces what they want to believe.

The MSM is run by billionaire and millionaire conservatives, funding public healthcare and schools isn’t communism and the climate is changing due to our influence on it. The entire Trump administration is a criminal enterprise that has taken a crap on the constitution and the rule of law whenever it benefitted them to do so.

Those are facts. Hard facts supported by data and actual events in reality. Until you all come to terms with how you’ve been manipulated into seeing half of America and what they want as the enemy, there will be no compromise. And there shouldn’t be.

Thank god you subscribe to a dying ideology, one that is actually killing itself through its own actions. Though I suspect you and a lot of others genuinely don’t care. Because most of you won’t be around 20 years from now. It’s me and my generation that will have to live through the consequences of your boneheadedness.

We’ve changed. The world has changed. The only constant a person can count on in life is change, and no matter how hard you try you can’t stop that. No one can. Any student of history should realize the fallacy in thinking you can.

We’ve had enough with our world and lives being controlled by out of touch, greedy, screw you I got mine type of people. That’s basically it. And there’s a lot more of us than it is you. Your ideology is only going one direction. Death. Modern conservatism is a death cult, plain and simple. And will be relegated to the dust bin of history, nothing more than the sound of insects stirring in dry places, signifying nothing.

Enjoy the last gasp. I have a feeling it will all be tumbling down soon.

So it's the fault of the Democrats that Trump couldn't walk the talk, lead and get his promises done?

What did you expect? He walks into the whitehouse and does whatever he wants? He's in a position to lead. That responsibility lies solely with him. That, alongside a GOP controlled senate and a majority congress as the start of his term.

How can we not have a corrupt government when we have so many among us that are corrupted? And, that corruption is within the ranks of the rich as well as the poor. Among the ranks of dems as well as the republicans.

Small government, big government, communist, socialist, fascists, capitalist... doesnt matter. We live in a democratic republic, of the people, by the people and for the people. It is a reflection of we the people by consensus. It is corrupt because that is how the majority of the people want it because in one way or another, they are benefitting in some way from the corruption within it.
You come out strongly against those who are looking to the govt for help they need for their basic needs but you say nothing about those on the other side of the flow of the funds and how they are benefitting far more.
There is no other explanation as to just how the cost of living could have gotten so far out of control without corruption between govt and the businesses that exploit the labor to produce the good and services necessary for survival while also exploiting the programs designed to help the poor obtain them.

I got a compromise: How about I get paid almost $1100 a day and no one has to make any big decisions and I’ll take all the bitter grumbling blame, but I’ll only do it for four years unless a bunch of people want me to do it for another four and we will need a national poll for that. But stay or go will still collect almost $1100 a day for life.

Sound good?

No it isn't. The Republican Party hasn't even put forward a platform for its goals for the next 4 years.

"The RNC has unanimously voted to forego the Convention Committee on Platform, in appreciation of the fact that it did not want a small contingent of delegates formulating a new platform without the breadth of perspectives within the ever-growing Republican movement," the resolution says.

www.foxnews.com...

The RNCs plan is to do whatever Trump says, in the next 4 years. Whatever!

Republican's are jumping ship and putting their money where their mouth is in supporting Trump's opposition, Joe Biden, because Trump's administration is not a "Republican's" administration. Trump's government goes against Republican's values.

As John Kasich put it, "We're (us Republicans) are renting, not buying" Biden."

LOL at your projection post about projection where you got so excited about your train of thought before it derailed that you posted twice...

We used to call that a premature verbal ejaculation.

Specifically this...

We’ve had enough with our world and lives being controlled by out of touch, greedy, screw you I got mine type of people. That’s basically it. And there’s a lot more of us than it is you. Your ideology is only going one direction. Death. Modern conservatism is a death cult, plain and simple. First off, the liberal/left in America are lead ENTIRELY by a group of out of touch, greedy, screw you I got mine type of people.

You are going to vote for one of them (Biden) in November.

Secondly.... liberal/leftists in America have been declining since 2016... from 26% of America to 24% of America.

That "There are more of us then there are of you" thing?

Wishful thinking on your part fueled by watching too much MSM.

What you forgot about there sparky is the ACTUAL political majority in America...

The independents.

You know... the ones the Democrat party have been telling "If you don't vote for me, you're not black!"

The ones that when they ask a question about Trump or want to support him are doxxed, beaten, killed.

Yea... the Democrats have really won us over on their current political policies of "We don't have a damn platform but we're not Trump so join us or die!!!"

As far as modern conservatism being a death cult...

I was not aware that American conservatives supported Planned Parenthood.

Which is by definition a death cult.

I have watched your posts for years and I hope that as the time comes and goes this November and Trump is doing 4 more years that you do not hurt yourself or someone around you.

Because you always seem to be THAT close...
