Did anyone see that the NFL tweeted out a giant American flag for 9/11 yesterday?

So after they let their players fall all over themselves to disrespect flag and country, they try to put out lip service on how they will never forget flag and country and of course, the first responders (COPS ... you know those dirty, black murdering racists they all protested Thursday on national TV). And if they pay any attention to the responses they are getting on Twitter, it ought to let them know why their ratings for Thursday's game were down and why people at the game booed in the opening moments.

More news on how China treats its neighbors.

And recall that the NBA especially is all up in kissing China's butt, but they LOVE to morally lecture us on how horrible we are.

Look at how they're treating the Tibetan plateau and its people's - environmental disasters through river diversion, unchecked and unregulated mining activities, more concentration camps, etc.

But, you know, America is the real monster because of microaggression and an average of 10 police shootings per year that could be questioned.

I watched the beginning, the anthem singers were wearing George Floyd and Bronna Taylor shirts and they sang some other crap song.
It’s a joke
I’ll still watch football but I will tune in 2 minutes into the 1st quarter, I will not watch any pregame BLM propaganda.
Cris Collinsworth sounded like he was sick of it but he said he supports the players and then said let’s get on with it.
Everyone knew they would go overboard with the BLM propaganda in the 1st game of the season.
On Sunday’s I will only watch the Red Zone channel to bypass all that bullsh!t.
If anyone doesn’t have that channel, I highly recommend it....action from every game live and you don’t have to sit though long stretches of nothing happening of note like if you were to watch just 1 game.

It is nice to agree. I suspect we are actually not far off from each other in principle, just we prefer different approaches to common solutions.

I would tend to agree with that, we seem to want the same results its just how we get there where we differ.

Racists believe their particular race is superior to other races.
As you say, they tend to be mentally deficient and extremely bitter and miserable people.

The biggest racists in the US today (and I would assume England as well) are the ones who claim to be fighting racism while practicing it openly and wantonly.

I've got to say the most unhinged and passionate racists I've known have been extreme right-wing nut jobs.
The BLM and ANTFA types are just so vocal and irrational and are becoming so common place.
Their dictates are creeping into everyday life and are beginning to effect each and every one of us.
They are at least as locked in in their viewpoints and beliefs as their right-wing counterparts and equally intolerant.

I have to say that the most discriminated against group in the UK are the working class regardless of race, gender, sexuality or creed.
The whole system is weighted against them achieving their true potential.
Of course there's the odd success story.....but relatively they are few and far between.

And its getting worse.....and yes I'll say it; particularly for white, working class males.
There is absolutely no-one - and I mean no-one - speaking up for them and voicing their cares and concerns and looking after them.
No special interest groups for them, nothing.

And I know I will be immediately demonised and labelled 'racist' for saying that....but it's the cold, hard truth.

At one time (really, not very long ago) I would have agreed with that statement. Even now I'll admit the "right wing" has its share of raving lunatic racists.

The difference I see is that they are largely ignored, while the "left wing" seems to be embracing theirs. Look at Dylan Roof... yeah, he was what is typically described as "right wing," but I don't know of anyone who defended his actions. The boy was a psychopath and a piece of crap to do what he did to those good people. There is no punishment, even including making him suffer in pure agony every day for the rest of his life, that could be considered as actual "justice." That's just a sad fact of reality. I take hope that the survivors of his massacre are strong enough to forgive and move on despite the agonizing pain he inflicted. They are truly good people.

Compare that to Antifa... just as racist, just as destructive, just as apt to inflict pain and anguish on the innocent, but it seems everyone on the "left" is actually supporting them. Mayors demand the police to not make any move against them, but rather insist that they are protected from anyone who might oppose their destruction. Governors refuse any attempt to bring them under control and make excuses for them. There is even evidence that Antifa has been intentionally starting wildfires in Oregon... 10 people have died already in wildfires according to Fox News, and I heard a blurb this morning about an 8-year-old child died in a fire trying to save his grandmother. How is that not also despicable?

I know there are still racists out there of every political bent and color and creed... but I can ignore the racists into oblivion. We already did that with the KKK in Alabama. What I can't do is ignore Antifa into oblivion while they are being given relevance by elected "leaders."

I have to say that the most discriminated against group in the UK are the working class regardless of race, gender, sexuality or creed.

It has always been that way, and that is the real problem that needs to be addressed. It cannot be addressed while the working class is split up into tiny pockets due to race, gender, or any other useless metric. Maybe that's the whole idea?

Divide and conquer.

And I know I will be immediately demonised and labelled 'racist' for saying that....but it's the cold, hard truth.

Not by me, you won't. You speak the truth.

Do you know why that is? It's because the white working class was where the middle class came from historically. The merchant class that upset the old order of the aristocracy and the serf.

Why do you think they want to destroy Western Civilization? It's largely where those ideas crystallized.

That was depressing.....At least the Main NFL one had posters calling them out.

Those 'fans' truly have no respect for our Country.

Can't love a country if you believe it's indelibly racist.

I did notice how many of the apartment complexes dropped 9/11 completely off their calendars at all this year though, not even the Nat. Day of Service graphics.

You are correct, right-wing nut jobs get no support in MSM and generally speaking society as a whole - and rightly so.
Any extreme right-winger openly advocating violence and discrimination against other groups is immediately lambasted and denounced as evil, akin to the devil incarnate.

I have to say that here in the UK, on a street level their tendency and capacity for violence and their intolerance and hatred has far outstripped anything seen from anyone else - obviously not talking about terrorists etc.

Yet MSM etc are increasingly supportive of BLM and ANTIFA supporters pushing for discriminatory policies against white people or failing to criticise the violence done in their name.

Their beliefs are increasingly being pushed and accepted in MSM and within society as a whole.

Over here its the champagne socialist types who are at the forefront of this concerted move.....traditional working class leftist leaning people tend to be quite passionately opposed to all this nonsense.

I've been watching sport on TV all day....and we see increasing numbers of women and BAME presenters, commentators and summarisers on all sports and tv stations.
I have absolutely no problem with that, if they are the best qualified and can genuinely add to the experience.
But a few so obviously aren't.
At least one in three are women.
At least one in three are BAME.
Usually one in three is white male.

All wear BLM pin badges etc.
Messages constantly flashing on the screen displaying support for BLM.

I'm #ing sick of it.

The new season of Championship and Premier League Football - its called that because players use their foot to kick the round ball - started today.
I love the start of the season.....I'm bored with it already.

I'm going to the pub where I can still talk bollocks, take the piss out of my mates - black and white - and be free from all this nonsense for a little while.

Wah wah wah! So much whining and bitching. I think it’s great what the NFL and the NBA are doing, along with the MLB. Get with the times. Racism will no longer be tolerated. The majority of fans like me will be watching.

And YOU are full of complete #.

The majority of fans do NOT want political or cause soapbox bullcrap shoved down their throats as sports spectators, they want to relax and watch athletes go toe to toe. I don't give a royal rat's ass what someone's personal cause is, I don't care about them or IT at all within the context of sports. I want to watch the people who play a game I love and who are vastly superior athletes showcase their skill -- not their personal stances.

THAT is their job. Not activism. # their private time activism, the games are not their private time. Do it off the proverbial clock and keep the politics separated from the job. Anyone with any brain matter up there understands mixing the two is not wise, and I'm showing exactly why via being blunt and honest: IT. IS. NOT. WHAT SPECTATORS. PAY FOR.

I will purchase no supporting goods or tickets this year, possibly for many years, for the NHL until they get their heads out of their asses and get back to the game and only the game. The vast majority of fans of all sport types feel exactly the same way.

It might take a few seasons, but they'll feel the revenue loss pinch and get the idea.

who is punching who in the dick?

I know woodley said he'd punch colby in the dick and take the 2 point deduction cause he hates him that much....

Now if you said Eye pokes I'd believe you cause thats Jon Jones first line of attack.

At least in MMA currently nobody gaf the colour of your skin, 2 men go in 1 man comes out the winner. Oh yeah and ladies too.

I think hockey is the only other sport I could tolerate, at least in Hockey fighting is acceptable, its part of the game.
I like how there are enforcers and unwritten rules like heavy weight doesnt go and bang it out with a welterweight etc.

Interesting dynamics imo.

I think the idea is that boycotting isn't what is the aim. I know im the same way. Happy to tune into a game. Not going to tune in until I know the 1st quarter is at least halfway done.

its not about them, its about me. I don't want to see it...but could care less how much they make from it. There are plenty other people boycotting, and its not a big enough issue for me to.

Netflix on the other hand....im cancelling that tonight when I get home from work.

Well the ratings are in and the NFL's opening Thursday night game were down 16%. Looks like we weren't alone in feeling that way, we will see if that stays true for opening weekend. I'll watch the home town team tomorrow I'm sure even though they are likely to just make my blood pressure rise and my doctor says I need too watch that.

sports.yahoo.com... -initial-results-show-decline-for-kc-houston-kickoff-game-162037891.html

According to Deadline, the Kansas City-Houston game initially rated a 5.2 among adults 18-49, the key demographic for advertisers, and boasted a preliminary total of 16.4 million viewers. At the moment — ratings are adjusted upward as more reports roll in — that’s a 16.1 percent drop from last year’s kickoff between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

As more numbers came in Friday afternoon, NBC reported a total audience of 20.3 million viewers, down from last year’s 22 million in the same timeslot. Overall, the game averaged a nationwide rating of 11.2/23, down from last year’s 12.8/26.

Critics of the league will point to the NFL’s newfound social justice activism as the reason for the decline. While that may be true, ratings are an inexact science, capable of detecting action but not motivation.

I believe it is really the same here. I desperately want to believe that even the "liberals" among the common American public are opposed to this nonsense. The election will tell.

When I say "left wing" these days, I am not talking about the "liberals." I have no problem with liberalism. In my day, it simply referred to a desire to see people's lives made easier and fairer. Liberals supported unions before the unions became big business themselves. Liberals supported social safety nets back when no one realized they were turning into sticky social safety hammocks. I myself have some of those traditional liberal leanings. I am all for equality between all, help for the needy and disenfranchised, and even universal healthcare. But I do not support equality for a specific group (which is the opposite of equality), nor social programs that tend to keep able-bodied people trapped in a life of near- or absolute-poverty, nor universal insurance which harms as many as it helps.

No, I am talking about what some refer to as "progressives." That would be those who advocate for things like slavery reparations, bloated government entitlement programs that stifle the work ethic and personal ambition, and who use every conceivable opportunity to tell me how bad and evil I am for being born white and how bad and evil my country is for being settled by mostly white folk. Yeah, we've done some pretty horrific things in the past... the Trail of Tears runs only a few miles from my home. Slavery was and is reprehensible. But so has every other country on earth. All countries have good and bad; all cultures contain good and bad. It is decidedly intellectually dishonest for anyone to focus on the bad only, especially when that bad is now historical only.

Those are the people who are changing sports into a political quagmire of hatred. They believe they cannot be heard any other way except to continually ram their views down people's throats; in reality we all heard them and rejected their demands already. They have become, IMO, the sworn enemy of anything good and decent in this world.

I think I'm gonna go see if I can get a carburetor to work. Alabama football, one of the few good sports outlets left, doesn't start yet, and my bar-hopping days are historical as well. Have a drink for me.
