Buried at the end of in this story is the idea that Democrats have said might have to be their last resort end game if Trump wins the election. www.nytimes.com...=https://t.co/kDEzgI0ejl

In that scenario, California, Oregon, and Washington then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr. Trump took office as planned. The House named Mr. Biden president; the Senate and White House stuck with Mr. Trump. At that point in the scenario, the nation stopped looking to the media for cues, and waited to see what the military would do.

This strategy can be found at the end of the article. Democrats, former (i.e. Obama) government officials, along with anti-Trump Republicans, apparently war gamed, Transition Integrity Project, in which they came to this conclusion. www.bostonglobe.com... The narrative has already begun with Biden saying Trump plans to steal the election.

Former vice president Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, has taken to issuing foreboding warnings of his own. “This president is going to try to indirectly steal the election by arguing that mail-in ballots don’t work — they’re not real, they’re not fair,” he said at a fund-raiser on Thursday night.

With Hillary openly telling Biden not to concede the election for any reason, we now know the real reason. The Democrats plan to refuse to accept the election results if Trump wins and begin a civil war.

It is frightening that there have been "war games" by top government officials planning for a civil war if Trump should win the election. Obviously, no matter the outcome liberals/leftists/and Democrats plan to not accept the results and to set fire to their already ongoing war against government (police) in the nations cities to the entire country.

Yes, this is the scenario Podesta wargamed out should Trump win the EC but Biden get the "popular vote". Of course, we know that if he does, most of those votes will be in the Western states on the left coast like last election.

They aren't being subtle about this at all, are they?

If those states were to secede, there should be an announcement giving normal people in those states three days to vacate to safe states before starting a bombing campaign.

Oddly the majority of those three states are big Trump supporters. it's just the small overly homeless populated areas that are DNC strong holds. Those to be fair those places are more Socialist Alternative strong hold then anything else.

I don't want to hear about California leaving. It was tried after Trump's win. Even enough signatures were gathered. But CA takes in more money from D.C. than it sends to D.C.. CA needs DC.

I can see the move if they apply to China to support. China would love the tech assets and other wealth they could access on the coast.

They can't even divide into smaller regions because it would hurt their governor too much. Which is why it got dumped from happening, even though the people wanted it.

Didn't they announce that four years ago?
So what happened?

Four years ago, it was mostly a citizen type initiative. Those movements have to generally work through petitions to get ballot measures on an election.

This would be moving to get this done on a government level where the government decrees it and it then moves faster.

So the difference is that in the first movement, it was citizens attempting to impel government to take action it was not necessarily inclined to take. This suggestion is that government may act of its own accord on behalf of the people which is the usual route.

On a constitutional level there is no procedure for a state to secede.

This is also in California's constitution.

"The State of California is an inseparable part of the United States of America, and the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land."

A territory consisting of CA, WA and OR would be at risk of being decimated by natural disasters at some point in the near future, whether it the hands of a giant EQ, or fast moving wild fires, to possibly Tsunamis striking the coast or the Cascades deciding to finally blow one of their tops... Long story short, that territory of three states better hope they never have one of those disasters happen, because they wont have the rest of the US to bail them out... Granted, everywhere in the world is susceptible to bad disasters happening, but I just feel the west coast has been overdue for sometime now... its always talked about, but hasnt happened quite yet...

Illinois (the state where you supposedly live) also takes in more money from D.C. than it sends, according to the data from the most recent full year for which we have good information--2019. This is according to the Rockefeller Institute, which keeps track of this stuff

All states except 8 get back more than they put in.

Illinois gets about $1.003 back for every dollar it sends to D.C. and California gets back about $1.005. That's 3/10 of a penny and 5/10 of a penny respectively. I'm pretty sure California could somehow struggle by without that half a penny.

cares?

In all seriousness though I've pondered about what de-federalizing the USA would do. More control for the people on the state level without an out-of-control federal government trying to appease everyone. It would bring a more authentic democracy in my opinion. Although divided we may be weaker to all sorts of foreign influences.

Trump is the Last President...

This is so crazy the prophecy from 130 yrs ago is coming true.

It's as close as the Titan was to the Titanic. This is uncanny as #!
