Trying to impeach the POTUS on false grounds, zero evidence, and lies was nasty.

Many of you might think that this is a minor issue when compared to that. I think this is worse. This shows the true nature of her character, and it is not anything to cheer for

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not defending Pelosi. I am bringing up reasonable points.

However, I've been waiting for someone to make a peurile and stale platitude about my username. Congrats for being the first to reach out for the low-hanging fruit.

Do be sure to collect your high-fives from ATS' resident groupthinkers.

However you seem especially upset Pelosi is being taken to task on this.

It's not the first time I've been misjudged. I don't blame you for your misperceptions.

I suppose you prefer living in a society where some people get to make up their own rules for themselves and the rest of us just have to suck it up.

My preference doesn't count for a whole lot, but apropos of the topic, I don't think Pelosi's salon appointment amounts to anything particularly noteworthy, for the reasons I stated in several posts in this thread. I'm sorry to go against ATS groupthink.

I live in the USA where ALL PEOPLE ARE CREATED EQUAL.

That is trite and untrue.

Pelosi can suffer from the idiocy just like the rest of us.

We all have our own crosses to bear.

Pelosi hails from an evolutionary order with which decent humanity was meant to hold no commerce.

It is not only against this background that the outrage that Kious subsequently displayed at Fox News seems questionable. According to the lawyer, the 44-year-old has been secretly offering hairdressing services in her salon since April. The freelance stylists are said to have "actively encouraged and almost forced" her to cut customers' hair. There are also supposed to be photos and videos of this...

www.augsburger-allgemeine.de...

the image of america: a country trapped on the internet. the radicals set the tone. my image of america: huge cities, wide landscapes, always technologically ahead, weapons and burger, space travel = nasa, prude, home of porn. but this hypocritical outrage about something irrelevant... not cool!

If Pelosi's appointment - which was scheduled by a stylist renting a chair in the salon - was such a "slap in the face" that the salon owner immediately had to run off crying to play kiss & tell with Fox news, shouldn't they have simply used their authority to cancel the appointment? They are acting like they were forced to accomodate Pelosi. The real problem here is between the owner and the stylist who scheduled Pelosi.

Because there's absolutely no possible way Nancy could afford a stylist chair/setup in her or her stylists home....

That freezer full of ice cream must've been spendy.

The problem is Nancy has her shop shutdown due to Covid, which is killing her business and has forced her to let go of some of her employees. But at the same time Nancy doesn’t have to follow her own rules and can’t even be bothered to wear a mask she forces everyone else to wear.

Nancy single-handedly shut down the salon?

Can you link an article supporting your claim about Kious letting her "employees" go? (Independent stylists rent her chairs, and in this article, one of those stylists alleges that Kious encouraged, bordering on forcing, the stylists to perform services contrary to lockdown guidelines.)

This is from Fox News. Why are you repeatedly going to Fox News to find out what Pelosi or another Democrat thinks?

Has it not occurred to you that Fox News would be nearly the last people one could choose to represent the 'voice' of the Democratic party?

It's bigger than Pelosi.

I guess in California if you're a city employee, your gym is open for you to work out in, but if you're a private citizen relying on a private workout facility ... it's too dangerous and you're still shut down.

When the owner of one gym and fitness center reached out to local police asking if they wanted to arrange private workout sessions at her facility, she was informed that they had no need for her generosity because the police gyms had been up and running the entire time. The only words she was able to muster at that point were “shocking and infuriating.” (NBC News)

But it's not just the gym for cops. It's the one for the municipal justice employees like judges and lawyers and paralegals too.

So the city is demonstrating that gyms can be open safely, but it simply chooses not to let private gyms open.

So please explain how Pelosi getting her hair done will spread the coronavirus?

I mean, that is the reason for the lock-down rules.

You seem to have lost sight of the reality in your efforts to dredge up some breaking of the rules.

I might point out about Trump's running large public meetings through lock-downs, too. And they DID spread the coronavirus, in a major way.

Why did someone in her office call to schedule an appointment for her when everyone in that office (in flipping CONGRESS) should have known that it was illegal to even make that request?

You don't know that her aide asked for an appointment before the rule change (which went into effect less than 24 hours after her appointment). In fact, it is reported that the business (stylist) offered to let Pelosi go in when she did.

Ok, care to defend/explain away all the other points/questions I made?

Yea thats the real problem here; elected officials unable to follow their own laws and rules is no big deal; its all the fault of the business owner.

Even if Pelosi was setup it doesn't excuse her hypocrisy.
