Record 400-plus migrants cross Channel in one day

Another day another record broken.

Border Force has intercepted 409 people, including young children, on board 27 boats, with several further vessels still being dealt with.

Some of the migrants were carrying children too young to walk.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson earlier on Wednesday said the UK had become "a target and a magnet for those who would exploit vulnerable people in this way".

Johnson stating the obvious but the question is what is he going to do about it.

Some 145 people had crossed the Channel in 18 small boats on Tuesday.

This isn't about asylem it's about mass migration,time the Tories got tough on this invasion instead of just spewing forth pretty words and doing sod all.
This Tory government is starting to look as incompetent as the last Tory government.

Quite reasonably if you're no sailor getting half way and being 'intercepted' is much better odds than having to cross all the way and make landfall.

The asylum seekers could be better intercepted on shore.

totally agree with you they are economic migrants rather than fleeing a war zone they should be on a plane or boat straight back home with the government of their countries billed for the time and effort to repatriate them back to their homes , My friend up North watched Boris get off a boat not long ago a very fancy one and get met by 2 land-rovers to take him camping www.thesun.co.uk...

It would be best to take these people in with open arms and provide for them and shelter them. Please don’t hurt the children.

The Tory elite have too much money invested in France and Germany, they want to turn Brexit into a method of changing the UK into a Tax Haven for themselves (look at the chancellors no massive tax hikes despite our going into debt) while keeping there friends across the channel happy, they are NOT and never were for us or our nation, they do not care one iota about our well being or whom comes here to live so long as they get rich off of it and have the UK and more importantly for them the city of London as a Tax haven for themselves, Europe was going to tax them at some point and they knew it so.

That means' they are NOT going to make France take back these migrant's that are legally THERE problem to return to SPAIN, ITALY etc and NOT ours and they are going to continue to pay the French millions of pound's to supposedly police the migrant's which they are not doing while some of that money get's passed back under the table because that is how it work's and how you defraud a country when you are in power, it will always be the same.

What do you expect when you put the fat guy in charge of the larder.

Legally these migrant's are the problem not of the UK or France but of the first European Nation they enter, Greece, Italy, Spain etc but France just want's to dump them all on us and end the crime waves they are suffering near to the migrant camp's.


But you know many of them are just folk's looking for a better life, not all of them are bad and some would even work hard and benefit our nation, we have no kid's being born and the Tory scum are taking away family allowance and making out our own kid's born to poor family's are scroungers so there is not a new generation ready to work or job's for a new generation to work in because the same Tory scum bag's took away the subsidies that protected British industry and have no intention of investing in British industry because it is against there particular right wing economic religion.

A surf rescue professional from Cornwall has admitted that he has realised more people are setting off, and drowning, because he is in Greece rescuing people who are at risk of drowning when they disembark. And yet he is still virtue signalling on Facebook. These 'rescuers' are murderers.
