I'm not 100% sure what's going on in this scene. Can someone help translate to shed some light? I feel like some fiery, but mostly peaceful drama is going on. Can even make up a little story about it to explain what's going on if you like.

This is from a Mexican telenovela called "Maria la del Barrio". This woman, Soraya, is crazy and evil. She used to be engaged to a rich man, Fernando de la Vega, but he left her for a poor woman, Maria. Maria and Fernando had Nandito (the young guy in the scene) whom Soraya liked. The young girl is Soraya's stepdaughter whose dad was killed in an orchestrated car accident by Soraya so she could have his money. Nandito ended up liking the girl so Soraya lost it and she stabbed him.
