The Georgia Democrat running for the U.S. Congress against a Republican businesswoman who has expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory on Friday said he was dropping out of the race and leaving the state for personal reasons....

Georgia’s Democratic Party urged Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, to allow Democrats to name a replacement candidate.

But Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs responded in a statement that the law is clear: “Mr. Van Ausdal can withdraw his candidacy or remain on the ballot. He cannot be replaced.”

Georgia law says a vacancy created by a candidate’s withdrawal less than 60 days before the election cannot be filled....

I am old enough to remember when "peace talks" (no deals) were enough to blanket the teeeveee, radio and press with wall to wall coverage of every minute detail.

Theory on the Mueller iPhone deletions

They may have been using third party apps for communication, and they may have used an unusual method to be allowed to acquire their iPhones that would have circumvented DoJ IT which would have installed blockers to prevent those same third party apps. (Unusual in the sense that it wouldn't have been a normally allowed one for employees of their type - self-purchase and department reimbursement.)

If that's the case, then the apps in question are ones that claim to not store communications data which would have been the purpose of having them after Strzok and Page got taken down through their texts. And the deletions would have been to erase evidence of having those apps more than to erase the data.

Kevin Van Ausdal’s uphill campaign for a U.S. House seat ended with a knock on his door late Wednesday while he was cooking dinner.

It was a deputy sheriff, there to serve him divorce papers from his wife. As part of the proceedings, he would have to vacate the home they shared.

I find it particularly strange that Israel was huge news what like 5 6 years ago? The whole Gaza thing. And no person I know has heard a single thing about any news related to Israel.
