Let em protest all they want. They won't be getting paid though

The smarter protest would be to play the game and the give their salaries of that game to their preferred cause.

They probably won't do that.

What’s the NBA?
If I knew, I still wouldn’t care about them.
It’s the only sport more useless than soccer.

Money will be lost next year.

Maybe, but people said the same thing about the NFL and they made bank after the Kapernick stuff.

They never started openly refusing to play entire games, either.

Stop playing often enough and they'll lose their fans.

Maybe they could make it really interesting and play the entire game on their knees. That would be worth watching.

They're discussing right now from what I just heard.

IF they refuse to play games then they should not be paid. If I told my boss I was upset about something I wanted to change i would have a choice.

It is time for someone to have the balls to say no to these whiners. Seriously. They won't play and then go back to their 3.2 million dollar homes and Instagram for self worth.

FIRE THEM...they are in breach of contract if they do not play.

Get out your rifles and go pick them off? They can protest any way they want

who are you arguing with? I don't think anyone said they couldn't. I'm going to protest this shooting on Friday by playing golf.

That's between owners and players. If the owners want to stand behind them and allow this nonsense, it's on them too. Fans are going to get pretty tired of tuning in to see a game that suddenly won't be played and they'll look for entertainment elsewhere.

You are correct it is remarkable.
I do not think this is the best way to go about it for them.
MLB is following suit.

I applaud athletes voicing their opinion.
Quitting is not the way to go imo.

Well, let's look at it this way - how many of us would get to show political protest by refusing to do our jobs and still expect to have our jobs?

The bucks and the nba should fine the players.
Try this tactic at your job and see what happens,

Well
They have a union, just like I used to be in.
The union is powerful enough to make this happen.
The owners can fire them.
New players are available every year in the draft.
Guess we will see if any pull the trigger.

It looks like the execs are A-Okay with this.

"Some things are bigger than basketball," Bucks senior vice president Alex Lasry wrote on Twitter. "The stand taken today by the players and org shows that we're fed up. Enough is enough. Change needs to happen. I'm incredibly proud of our guys and we stand 100% behind our players ready to assist and bring about real change."

Strikes are banned under the NBA's collective bargaining agreement, which means the Bucks players broke their own contract in order to protest racial injustice and police violence.

In a statement, the Orlando Magic supported the league's decision.

"Today we stand united with the NBA Office, the National Basketball Players Association, the Milwaukee Bucks and the rest of the league condemning bigotry, racial injustice and the unwarranted use of violence by police against people of color," the Orlando Magic said in a statement.

I actually played 1v1 with Larry Johnson. He's HUGE and one of the coolest guys ever.

I scored once vs him.
He may have let me tho LOL

That happened back in the 90s right after he got his gold medal.
