Depends if Trump cuts a deal with the Dems. I’ll be voting for him but truth be told nothing has happened with regard to shutting down the riots or fighting back with any kind of physical force. And no one from the Deep State has been thrown in prison, etc. When push comes to shove, he folds.

Is there an open contestation for that election? Maybe you should make a thread about it, this one is about 2020.

My OP was inaccurate.

After further research I discovered and admitted that the process has been amended and the incoming house will have the duty of electing a president .

From my OP

Which means the duty of selecting a president falls to the old house of representatives. Sounds a little scary at first due to the democratic majority.

Augustus's1st post

That's if Pelosi doesn't challenge the election of House seats. She can create a committee who then awards the seat to a Democrat even if a Republican won and then the House votes on it which means they would then have control of the majority of States.

You never mentioned a new Congress. Your reply was operating under the premise that my OP was correct .

And thought naïvely that Nancy could challenge the 2018 midterms .

You're such a little man you can't admit any fault on your part .

Guess you missed my second post. Or maybe you forgot. Either way it mentioned a new Congress.

Pelosi, since she would run the old and new Houses, can table anything she wants until after January 3rd. She would get reelected Speaker, challenge elections, appoint a committee which would be Democrat-led, that committee then decides other Democrats won their seats even if they didn't and then they vote for President.

I bolded the important parts in case you don't have your bifocals on.

She can't table a challenge to the 2018 elections before January 3

Keep lying this is fun .

Here is my OP in its entirety. Clearly referencing that the old Congress has the power.

Here is your reply. No correction of my OP. No mention of the new Congress. Just the incorrect statement that once you realize that you move the goalpost.

And you aren't even man enough to admit it when caught.

Can you point out as to when you were referencing the new Congress in your first post?

Hmmmmm?

Bull# you would've said that in your original reply .

Instead of Nancy can contest the elections. You would've said you're wrong it's the new house that elect the president .

You didn't do it .

Caught you in a lie .

Show me were you said new house .

Leave it aside the point that you lied.

This statement is completely and utterly wrong .

Pelosi, since she would run the old and new Houses, can table anything she wants until after January 3rd. She would get reelected Speaker, challenge elections, appoint a committee which would be Democrat-led, that committee then decides other Democrats won their seats even if they didn't and then they vote for President.

she can't challenge the 2018 midterms. And she can't challenge the upcoming 2020 elections untill after January 3rd if she's elected speaker of the house .

In all likelihood this is the source from where you obtain your position which you didn't understand fully .

Assuming the new House reelects Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) as speaker, Pelosi could use the chamber’s power under the Constitution’s Article I, Section 5, to have her majority be the “judge” of contested elections to the House. The House could then seat enough Democrats to give Democrats control of a majority of state delegations before the House votes to select the president in January 2020.

Here’s how this might play out. As the judge of contested elections, the House can entertain any challenge to the election results at the beginning of its session (after choosing the speaker, customarily its first vote)

So no she can't table any challenge she wants until after January 3rd.

2018 elections are unchallengeable. The 2020 elections can't be challenged until a new session of Congress is called the order .

You can't admit you lied .

Can you admit you were wrong ?

You have the morals of a liberal

My 0P

The topic was the old house of representatives.

Which means the duty of selecting a president falls to the old house of representatives. Sounds a little scary at first due to the democratic majority.

Currently Republicans hold the majority by state at 26 republican states versus 23 democratic states and one tie Michigan.

Augusta's first post

That's if Pelosi doesn't challenge the election of House seats. She can create a committee who then awards the seat to a Democrat even if a Republican won and then the House votes on it which means they would then have control of the majority of States.

No mention of a new congress he's lying.

You can't challenge the results of the 2018 election. You were wrong.

My response

Can't find the link at the moment. But the selection of president will fall under the old house not the newly elected house. So explain to me how she's going to challenge the election results .

Besides that your post does not address that the majority vote and one state only counts as one voat .

Augustus response

She would get reelected Speaker, challenge elections, appoint a committee which would be Democrat-led, that committee then decides other Democrats won their seats even if they didn't and then they vote for President.

She can't challenge the 2018 elections as per your initial post.

Augusta

I'm still on the same subject, your wet dream. You seem to want to put of some strawmen like 2018 when I told you she could contest this election and postpone any vote on the President until next year.

Strawman ?

you addressed the 2018 election.

I noticed you avoided addressing the fact that she can table anything she wants until January 3rd of next year.

And you just did it again. 😂

She can't table challenge to the 2018 elections. That deadline has already expired.

She can't challenge the 2020 election's until the new Congress is in session .

Can you admit you were wrong I did.

Or is your self-esteem so low it's too big of a blow to your ego?
