It would have been cool if he flapped it and it did the batcape thing, ready to hang glide and such. I’m a bit disappointed.

Stills is a great songwriter, musician, and singer. Even though he is now as deaf as a stone.

Most of his contemporaries will agree that he was a total dick, but not one will disagree with the above.

Suite Judy Blue Eyes. His song. And many others. I think I'll listen to that one right now.

I hadn’t thought of that song in...well, forever. It is a great one. I was a DJ at an AM station back when it was a pretty big hit (Atlantic Records label, I think)...worked my way through college spinning vinyl. Your mention got me to thinking of a fairly obscure song by The Guess Who—-the flip side of their hit American Woman—-called No Sugar Tonight. That’s another one that needs adding to my Spotify favs. We very swift and nifty DJ’s called those “double-sided hits”.

There's a place down in Mexico,
Where a man can fly over mountains and hills...

Crap, wrong guy.

Well, damn....
You sure burst my bubble over that song.
I guess I'm glad I know.....but DAMN!!!

I sure as hell don't need to hear any cover for the song.....regardless of the motive

Still like the song....regardless of the reason it was written.

It doesn't change what millions felt when they heard in that era, and since.

First time for quite a while that I've seen a DTOM post that wasn't either bringing bad news or yelling at a group of users on a runaway thread. Nice to see.

Hendrix was right. Stephen is a talented musician. He is more than just a 3 chord songwriter. And I really hate typing this.
Hendrix also looked up to Billy Gibbons, which is crazy to me. Billy is pretty good, but Hendrix was on another level than everyone at the time.
I've never even heard Gibbons play anything but triads and minor pentatonic licks. Forget about inversions,7th chords, and all the theory that Hendrix brought to rock music

If Stills wrote a song called Love the Orange Jesus the world supply of Jurgens would be sold out in 5 seconds.
