When I first saw this, I swear to God I thought it was a joke. 60s music legend Steve Stills shilling for the DNC, but mainly for BLM. (I dont know who the singer is)
A brief history of the song: It's not the anti-war anthem people think it is. When Stills was 18 or 19 and living in L.A., he was miffed that the city deployed cops to enforce a 10PM curfew. Why? Because young hippies were congregating up and down The Strip, causing traffic jams and disrupting local restaurants, bars, stores, bowling alleys, etc. That's right, Stills wrote this as a curfew protest, not a war protest. I guess the song is fitting for the DNC. Lightweight.

In the band Crosby Stills Nash & Young, it was Neil Young who wrote the political heavy stuff, like "Ohio". It's hard to believe Jimi Hendrix admired Stills as a musician. Guess Jimi didn't know what a wimp Stills was. Stills' biggest hit is "Love The One You're With", a song promoting free love. If your girlfriend or boyfriend, husband or wife isn't there, just screw whoever is! (That song is probably on the top of Bill Clinton's playlist)

In all its hideousness, I give you the DNC's "For What It's Worth":

Stills brain is cooked from too many drugs.

Is that the new flag for the Progressive Socialist States of America?

It’s a great song from the Buffalo Springfield era.
CSN have done a cool version of it on recent tours.
“Love the one you’re with” was a good tune, but let’s not forget about “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.”

You were expecting Ted Nugent or Billy Ray Cyrus?

Stills is a great songwriter, musician, and singer. Even though he is now as deaf as a stone.

Most of his contemporaries will agree that he was a total dick, but not one will disagree with the above.

Suite Judy Blue Eyes. His song. And many others. I think I'll listen to that one right now.

Trump currently has about 20 musicians pissed at him for playing their songs without permission.
He should ask Frank Marino for permission to use "The World Anthem". It's a good instrumental. It sounds majestic. Inspiring.

Saw him at the festival of life in 71 in McCrea Louisiana he flew in from Nashville to save the festival his words. He was a ass-hat then and hasn't changed.

I’ve seen CSN do that tune live, & it was amazing. Unfortunately, they’ve been doing it less and less on recent tours. According to Crosby, Stills still smokes, which isn’t exactly helpful—especially with that number. (Crosby had an interesting way of pointing it out, of course.) Didn’t know about the deafness, but it makes sense; Stills solo shows are LOUD. He still swings a mean axe, I will say....

I saw David in a small club a few years ago.

He played "Cowboy Movie." Damn, it was good.

Saw CSN at the Waikiki bandshell in '92. My cousin took us when we came out to visit. I was never a huge fan but that show was unforgettable.

I saw CSN in 1969 at the HIC.

First set was all acoustic. After intermission (they used to do that), they brought up the lights, showing the Marshall stacks (or equivalent).

It was pretty good. Sorta. Kinda. Mind blowingly.

Yeah but always listen to Santana’s version of Black Magic Woman versus when he recorded it with Fleetwood Mac.

I still fire up Abraxas now and then.

The Waikiki show was all acoustic, the first in a long time I was told. They took their intermission break then Stills came out alone and did "Love the One You're With" solo. His playing was jaw dropping.

I saw CSN in Kaanapali (88'ish?). All acoustic. Had a BSP because my friend from Florida is a friend of Crosby's.

Unfortunately, that concert and subsequent occurrences are sort of a blur.

I'm told the music, and food, was very good.

Jesus Christ himself could come down and sing a song called "Love your Brother as Yourself" and the right wingers would hate him for being a socialist BLM sympathizer.
