"to say that no man knows the day or the hour"
Maybe not the exact day and hour but how about the day of Jezreel prophecy of Hosea? And it's timeline here.
Hosea 6-2
1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the
latter and former rain unto the earth.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth
away.
2nd Peter 3
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
According to the prophecy Israel and Judah were to face a long term top level Leviticus 26 curse. For 2000 years approximately. Followed by the 1000
year "day of Jezreel". Now what else is prophesied to last a 1000 years? The reign of the saints in Revelation. I would propose that the day of
Jezreel and the reign of the saints is the same event. Running under different names.
So my hypothesis is that since a nation of Israel was formed in 1948 and a case could be made that the "generation" mentioned in Matthew 24 could be
interpreted as taking up to 80 years so then I would propose the nation of Israel is a fig leaf and the 1000 year reign of the saints starts around
2028.
