Strange how the guy accused of having dementia doesn't use an autocue and stumbles over his words but the other guy who doesn't have dementia uses an autocue and stumbles over his words.

Which one has dementia again ?

the one who has an obvious decline in cognitive ability. Trump has always been that way. Remember?

Stupidity or dementia? Look WHAT we have to choose from? Our nation is pathetic!

There is no way he can handle a high stress job the next 4 years.
But arguing that is stupid.
.
The elites that want him in power know he will be an easy to manipulate person.

The people pushing him are almost bordering elder abuse

I think that might work in both directions all the same.

If it were 'the final stages' he wouldn't be out riding a bike at Rehoboth Beach, near his multi million $$ beach house.

He does obviously have cognitive decline.
But it's not "advanced".
If it were, he'd be forgetting how to stand and walk and he wouldn't be riding a bike ... that's for sure.

Sure he can. My dad suffered the same sort of dementia. He was out and driving right up until the day we finally took away his keys because we knew eventually he'd forget how to get home, and he'd wind up as one of those tragic cases you read about.

Biden's already at a point where he has troubling stringing together a few sentences. By this time next year, it'll be almost impossible to get a coherent sentence out of him.

We haven't had a coherent sentence out of Trump since his first year and he walks and drinks like a baby.

This isn’t close, Biden cannot put one single thought together, ever. I feel bad for him, he’s always stumbled a bit with his words in recent times, but this is not a man that should be leading the free world, neither is Trump imo. This just shows how the people don’t really have a choice. It’s all a stage and they put forth candidates like this while they laugh at how #ing #ing dumb the populous is. Neither party or party leader gives 2 #s about anyone here.

I would love to have coffee with you Gortex just to see your face in real time saying the things you say.

That is assuming you are a real person.

Yes, Joe is struggling with his communication, but it's more like what you'll see in mild- to mid-stage dementia, rather than late stage.

You're right, Mike.

I have some experience spending time with people I cared about that were suffering with Alzheimer's but I am definitely not an expert on the subject.

Your knowledge appears to be pretty solid, as I've read other posts right here in this thread from members that I believe are Medical professionals - and they're analysis seems to match up well with yours.

Many news sources also are increasing their coverage of the topic, some sensationalist, but most of the informative and respectful variety, thank God.

On a sad, but perhaps helpful note for those that suffer from it currently - it looks like many Americans are about to get a crash course in this disease as events unfold here over the next few months.

I bet many people will be surprised by what they learn. But better and more accurate knowledge shared with such a large number of American people can only be a good and helpful thing in the long run.

POTUS is a younger Mans job than 70+

So true Andy!

Wouldn't it be so great and kinda cool to have another young and "dashing" President like we did during the years between 1960 - 1963.

JFK.

Camelot.

Good times...until some nut or nuts decided to rob him from the American people.

In my opinion, the early post-JFK assassination years were some of the saddest this country has had the great misfortune of enduring.

I think Don McLean's song - "American Pie", touches on this unprecedented period of grief and angst about the future in this country in a sensitive, touching, and non-threatening way.

It's also a pretty amazing piece of music in it's own right - thus making it the perfect vehicle to carry that message.

If we did not make generalizations like that then there would be no retirement age.

Incorrect,
In fact, government here is set to raise the retirement age, not lower it, for instance! (because we are living longer)
Thing is, government itself screws things up when they try to look cool, and legislate on other stuff at the same time like, age discrimination, then cock up again with doing away with a ten year driving licence for anyone over 70, (so you need to reapply in a much shorter time passed) and that in each case there is some sort of caveat or the other.

'Living longer'
'Cool dude' gov-speak
'Doctor's cert', 'eye test' (official eye test parameters...appalling)

My stance on this is as Objective as it can be , I admit I lean a little right but I am no fan of President Trump I don't think the guy should be President BUT neither should Biden.

If the Left were running a Moderate Coherent Democrat that was not a secret socialist I would vote for them .

Admittedly President Trump is probably a sociopath , but the guy is some what of a Coherent Leader. Joe Biden on the other hand is not fit to be President and it's not just what the guy says during interviews its his face I've seen it 100 times before in other elderly people his mind is leaving him it is unfortunate but as we age we essentially turn back into children and that is what we are witnessing.

Nothing has happened in America...

I think Mrs. Biden and many other people will strongly disagree with that.

Something awful has happened to Joe, just like it happens to far too many others of advancing age - the onset of dementia - a debilitating and awful disease that not only visits suffering on the individual and their family and friends, and in Joe Biden's case - completely disqualifies him from consideration for the highest office in the world - the Presidency of the United States of America.

And because of that, something awful happened to all of the American people that had supported him in that pursuit.

Because so many people are going to be forced to witness his decline up close and personal - something awful has also happened to every citizen and the great - but currently confused and wounded - Spirit of America.

Yeah, I feel deeply impacted by this, and even though I did not not support him as a candidate for POTUS for a variety of reasons, I did support him just like I support all other people of good character, human kindness and guts, that are willing to put themselves out there for the good of others.

I put Joe Biden in that category.

Where did i say they were going to lower the age of anything?

Think 70 is going to be the new retirement age in the UK or 67.

People are living longer, that's just down to modern medicine.

Eye tests are important mate, ever been in a car with anyone over the age of 80, that don't like to wear there glasses, in fact, nevermind the glasses, their reaction times, and ability to comprehend their surroundings, at pace is severely compromised.

I guess if you feel that way maybe you can visit him and Trump in Thighland where the Spanish Flu ended World War II. Looks like the 'mentia is contagious.
