When most people think about Torsion Fields they tend to think "time travel". I have come up
with a diffrent use for them. In a Torsion Field (diffrent link) the spinning object bends the
three dimensions of space as well as the fourth deminsion, time. My thought (and I don't know if it would work this way) is, if you can bend time to
travel to any point in time you wanted why could you not keep time a constant, change the three dimensions, and go to any location you wanted? Let me
know if you think this has any merrit to it.
If you can do one thing you probably can do the other. Both are increadibly hard to do, so it goes to figure that any advanced enough civilization
would have the capacity to do both. I agree it does seem like it would work for both, maybe by creating a "Warp Drive" or a "Stargate". Who knows
this stuff is far beyond us atm but its still fun to talk about.
