Fireworks Through Tears

Imagine this:

The war is over.
Devastation, death, wounds, mourning.
The survivors then consider:
That was horrible.
Let's not do that again.

"But what about these left over munitions ?"

"Get rid of them! Just shoot them up into the air!"

So they do.

The grieving faces look up,
to see the tears coming down,
to mingle with their own.

One day? Someday?
Fireworks might just mean something.
