As predicted, cries about the source, calls it right-wing propaganda, but can't point to anything actually wrong in the piece.

The Democrats do love people who can't think, so you must be popular.

How many non-mail-in ballots get thrown out?

We have mail-in voting here, and have since long before covid, it's literally not a problem at all.

Oh, for sure, some in-person voting gets rejected too, but mail-in gets rejected at a higher rate. Last source I saw on it said it was at least twice as likely to get rejected. I'll see if I can find it.

ETA: For the most part, the only time your vote is at risk of being rejected if you voted in person is if you cast a provisional ballot, which is a very small percentage of the in-person vote. So the rate at which in-person ballots are rejected is by default going to be much lower than the mail-in vote rejection rate. I'm still trying to find the raw numbers.

Trying to change this in a "National Election" less than 90 days away would be idiotic. Forget fraud potential which is extremely high, no way it goes off without a hitch, count would be delayed and there would be always another bag of mail to be found at the last minute. LOL and it certainly would be disputed if Trump won LOL. Anytime they try something new election wise it's a disaster, do they even know who won the Iowa caucus yet?

So the real question is, why do the Democrats not want your vote to count?

The bigger question is: why don't they care that it's typical Democrat voters who will be most affected?

The only reason I can think of is because they know fraud will more than make up the difference. That's the only thing that would make this a politically wise move.

The one bright spot is the news media Talking Heads would have to stay at their desk for several weeks waiting to be the first to announce the winner in many states.

If YOU were working as a ‘vote counter’ this election. And you opened ten ballots and nine of them were for President Trump

How would YOU record those votes?

There is a 100% chance that whackjob leftists who are charged with tallying votes will cheat. They’ll lie, they’ll throw ballots out, they’ll change ballots etc.
It will be openly discussed, planned and encouraged among them.

And President Trump will still win anyway

His opponent is a pedophile

Okay here's another WaPo piece that answers your question

According to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, of the more than 140 million votes cast in the 2016 general election, 23.7 percent were via mail. Of the roughly 33.2 million mail ballots that election administrators received and tabulated, approximately 1 percent weren’t counted. Reasons for rejection include “the signature on the ballot not matching the signature on the state’s records,” “the ballot not having a signature,” a “problem with return envelope,” or “missing the deadline.” By contrast, a third fewer ballots cast in person were rejected in 2016.

So the number of mail-in votes rejected in 2016 was 33% higher than the number of in-person votes rejected.

The key part of that stat is that those are not rates, those are raw numbers. There's more in-person voting than there is mail-in voting, so for mail-in voting to have more rejections than the in-person votes the rate has to be higher. So the more mail-in voting there is, the more people will not have their votes counted. The more people vote in person, the more likely their vote is to count. It's very clear.

We have mail-in voting here, and have since long before covid, it's literally not a problem at all.

That's great, but a lot of places haven't done this before. To throw it together in this short of time frame will be a disaster.

I was in the USAF 7 years when you came in, back in the day there was very little push to get it done in a timely manner you had to know and get on it yourself.

I can certainly believe that. By the time I got out, it depended on your unit voting officer, but a lot of them were pretty gung ho about getting people to vote.

Do you happen to know if the other branches have similar additional duties in their units for someone to coordinate voting? I hope they do, I encourage everyone to vote.

What's wrong with "the piece" is that it's nothing more than Trump supporters getting their excuses in early.

If Trump loses the election it won't be anything to do with voter fraud, it'll be because enough people have realised that he's a complete idiot.

Disinfectant anybody?!?!

The Democrats do love people who can't think, so you must be popular.

And right-wing propoganda merchants love people who'll believe anything. I guess that's where you come in.

What chance is there of a nut job Trump supporter recording votes for Biden?

And President Trump will still win anyway

You either didn't read it or didn't understand it then. The issues he was talking about disproportionately affect Democrat voters. It won't hurt Trump's chances, so claiming it's an excuse for Trump is just plain stupidity. Try to actually read stuff before you respond to it, maybe.

Explain a specific thing you think he's wrong about. Or do you have to wait for CNN to tell you?

Here's a great piece by Marc Thiessen in The Washington Post

Now, our resident leftists will be along any minute to cry about the source because Thiessen is to the right of Mao. Knowing today's climate, WaPo may face boycotts for mistakenly allowing facts to be published in their paper. Note how they will fail to address the substance of the piece.

The essence of it is that even if you completely discount potential voter fraud, there are still plenty of problems with mail-in voting (my emphasis):

More recently, the 2020 Democratic primaries should serve as a cautionary tale. About six weeks after New York’s congressional primaries, winners were not declared in two closely watched House races until Tuesday. That’s thanks to complications in counting the surge of more than 400,000 mail-in ballots, of which state officials have already invalidated 84,000. In California, election officials rejected more than 100,000 mail-in ballots in the state’s March presidential primary. To put these numbers in perspective, Trump won the White House in 2016 thanks to roughly 80,000 votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin combined. In Pennsylvania alone, mail ballot problems kept about 92,000 people from voting in a primary in a state that Trump won by just 44,000 votes four years ago. In Florida, about 18,500 mail-in ballots were not counted, and in Nevada, about 6,700 were rejected. In a close race, such failures could easily call the results into question.

Just look at NY. That's ONE Congressional district. 84,000 mail-in ballots were thrown out, out of 400,000. For those of you who took common core math and don't understand the significance, that means that 2 out of every 10 people who voted by mail didn't have their vote counted.

The major news agencies reported on these problems routinely up until a few years ago. Of course, now that Trump has a problem with it, mail-in voting has become their end-all, be-all of democracy.

The fact of the matter is, mail-in voting is wrought with problems. States that haven't done this before are unprepared. Lots of mistakes will happen, even without voter fraud in the mix.

Here's the real funny part:

Ironically, it could very well be Democrats who end up crying foul. A study of Georgia’s 2018 midterm elections found that mail-in ballots of “younger, minority and first-time voters are most likely to be thrown out.” A study of Florida’s midterms that same year determined that mail-in ballots “cast by Black, Hispanic, and other racial and ethnic minorities were more than twice as likely to be rejected as … ballots cast by White absentee mail voters.”

So the real question is, why do the Democrats not want your vote to count?

Not one fact in your post. Person, woman, man, camera, tv. Really something to be proud of.

This is a flat-out lie. The number of mail-in ballots received in the NY congressional race, for instance, are 100% verified fact. They've been reported by both left- and right-leaning news sites. There are numerous such figures in the piece. I know you guys think math is racist now but those numbers are facts. The voting procedures, as outlined, are facts. That mail-in ballots are rejected at a higher rate than in-person ballots is a fact. That this disproportionately impacts typical Democrat voters, such as minorities, young people, and first-time voters, is a fact.

Now, I know you weren't trying to post seriously. You simply had no real response, but you couldn't let these facts that go against the narrative you were fed by the media go, so you had to falsely cry "lies!" with nothing to back it up.

If the only response you have is blatant lies, you must be really worried.

You guys are so predictable. You forgot how to form rational arguments years ago because all you had to do was scream "racist!" at everything you disagree with. That doesn't work anymore, and now you don't know what to do.

Post an actual intelligent response, if you can. Point out something in the piece that's a lie. I'll wait. Rachel Maddow won't be doing a segment on this piece, so you'll have to actually think for yourself. You can do it.
