Granted its here in the UK but I know plenty of 'right' leaning individuals who support abortion within certain restrictions.

Yes, this investigation was probably initially politically motivated but if it has unearthed evidence of fraud and corruption etc then it needs to be pursued in accordance with the US judicial system/procedure.
This in no way impacts your Second Amendment rights.

You are right; start a new organisation that puts gun owners interests before gun manufacturers etc and keep out of other political issues, they will only serve as a distraction and steer you away from your primary concern.

There are other organisations/groups around if you want to involve yourself in other issues.

The Second Amendment Foundation is also a very good organization with real legal results.

The NRA files amicus briefs with the court on a case they're not involved in and it gets people to believe they're doing something. The NRA has done nothing as the rights of Californians were penned away by communists who now threaten to take their water and power for daring to host people in their homes.

NRA is a useless organization but I always get a little squirley when I see an obvious political stunt targeted at a private organization.

Its interesting watching people that hate the 2nd cheer something like this and rabidly defend their cause of choice against govt over reach.

The NRA, as an organization, stole $64 million in donated funds for their top execs. A lot of this has come to light after Oliver North (of Iran contra fame) was elected president of the organization and, almost immediately, said there was fraud happening within the organization and resigned.

Executives misused charitable funds for personal gain, awarded contracts to friends and family members, and provided contracts to former employees to ensure loyalty.

I trust wholeheartedly that the NRA is just the start, and the Attorney General's office will be aggressively pursing other organizations blatantly doing the same. Regardless of industry or political leaning.

I concur and agree.

The same sentiments are present in many of the firearm forums I visit.

People only become members to have access to legal aide in court cases should they find themselves needing it, but most everyone knows that the guys on top of the NRA are basically the same as the assholes in the government.

Isn't this pretty much what Obama did? I'm not sure why the NRA would need to be dissolved, but I would hope that those involved in criminal actions would be arrested and see prison time. I am guessing that this is more likely a smear tactic

his money to set his control freak agendas into play - Remember he just lost badly in the Democratic primaries as even
the Democratic leftest progressives couldn't stand him - Still I imagine his money is still doing its dirty work.

New Youk is a state that caters to control freaks - And had very restrictive gun laws, some of which have been overturned
by recent Supreme Court ruliings.

This suing of the NRA is obviously driven by a revenge motive - As was the impeachment of Donald Trump.

I can't say if there is any truth to the lawsuit - But you can bet it is happening now during a significant election year
in an attempt to block the NRA's often effective support of pro Second Amendment candidates.
