I'm betting Israel sent a real strong message with a nuke.

How much you want to lose?

And many explosions like this are frequently thought to be an attack. Buildings don't generally explode like this for no reason. But not everything is an attack.

How True.

If this explosion was not caught on video(s), it would not be a big deal in the U.S. news.

In 2017 a blast killed hundreds...but there were no videos...hence very little news about it.

I saw this one on Yt this morning, and thought it would be handy as an indication of what to expect from a certain amount of explosives.

No. It was not a bomb, we know that now. A warehouse caught fire, not far from the warehouse with the ammonium nitrate - a ammonium nitrate that was neglected and being argued over and which people had been warning about for some time.

Why are those people that insist it's a bomb ignoring the massive fire burning prior to the explosion?
Are they that desperate for drama in our world that an obvious(to most) accident wouldn't/couldn't happen?(and we all know terrorist nukes are much more doom-worthy!, (especially ones from Israel)).

Anyway, its heartwarming to witness the innate goodness in people from all corners coming together to assist Lebanon at this time, its interesting how tragedy will generally bring out the best in us!

I'm clueless with this topic so what gives with the vast difference in the Beirut explosion to this one ? Such an extreme difference to my eyes regarding flames/afterburn.

Beirut harbor before and after.

Claiming this is a nuke, is ridicules.
Terrible accident.

to my intellectual mind...

this shows Proof of a Bunker Buster bomb .... but Who delivered the MOAB/Bunker Buster ???

the list of countries that will benefit from an escalation of combat is long... and not limited to Russia/Israel/USA/Turkey/Iran/UK

Well since it was the dock's an accidental explosion of that same material OR a ship bomb.

One way to prove the point either way, get a Geiger counter to ground zero, if it was a radioactive device there would be considerable residual activity and the counter would tick nicely above background level's.

So no not a nuke, two reason's really, using a nuke would be obscenely expensive for even a western power, it would set off all manner of detectors around the world designed to identify nuclear detonations such as those that pick up underground NK detonations etc and terrorists would not want to waste money in that way unless they had it for a prime target such as one of our capital city's, they would also want to use it as a bargaining chip and hide it away somewhere.

Actually there are more nukes in suitcases missing than you think. And they aren't that expensive. But even so, as the buildings in the area are still standing, ableit damaged, proves it wasn't a nuke.

No one has a 1.5kiloton bunker buster.

That, and there are photos of the ammonium nitrate prils stored in bags in the warehouse that blew up.
And the previous cases of stored ammonium nitrate catching fire, then exploding in a very similar way.

That is probably, with the end of the cold war a lot of suitcase bomb's remain to this day unaccounted for as do several possible ICBM's as well.

Not only from Russia though even England and Margaret Thatcher's government (or rather the Tory Party) got in on the dirty black market trade in nuclear weapon's.
And what is even worse is the go between who arranged and negotiated this dirty deal was no other than David Cameron whom was later to become prime minister himself.

I never seen anything like it. I saw a clip from the ground, maybe half a mile away, when the big one happened, it was quick, but you could just for a flash see buildings crumble in the path of the wave.

the non-nuclear Bunker Buster penetrated very deep to cause the stored ammo and fuel to be thrown into the air and then explode

the mushroom cloud was not from a 1.5 kiloton device, the flash was from the air-fuel mix & the lethal combo of Ammonium nitrates and bunker buster
