The detonation was certainly not as strong as 1MT or even more, it was more like 25-300t tnt (yeah big range, data will take time) .. wait 3 months or more for real numbers.

a megaton is a MILLION TONS of TNT

a KILOTON is 1000 tons of tnt

this was said to be equal to about a 1KT tactical weapon

the lowest selectable yield of a tactical B61 (Mod 3 and Mod 4) is 0.3 kilotons (300 tons) witch is well below this blast

Yeah that was a hell of a blast.
Reminds me of the Pepcon rocket fuel blast from the 80s

I was just telling my mom about this. Neither of us were in the US at the time but I am familiar with the story having grown up in Nevada.

That explosion was insane. Easily on par with the Beirut explosion.

I am not sure I understand what you mean in your first statement and yes, blaming Israel for POSSIBLY destroying a weapons cache in a hostile port that would be used by terrorists to rocket their sovereign nation, a logical political and military decision most would think

I am guessing a weapons storage facility destroyed by Israel, my guess, not saying it was bad, didn’t say it was good, just that I think it’s possible. Possible the weapons facility triggered a fertiliser storage facility and bang

Sorry I have to explain myself, I am just offering an opinion.
Hezbolla have weapons, guns and missiles, probably come in from the port and ...

I made a post on Twitter that was a joke about israel accidentally causing a explosion to assassinate a target, and using the mass deaths after to cover their tracks.

Try about 2.7 kiloton. There was 2,700 tons there.

Guessing a weapons storage destroyed by Israel

Try using logic .
Never guess.

Thanks but no, I want to guess, I want to join the conversation, it looked clear and simple

Small fire, many small explosions in that fire, small weapons then a big explosion on the docks. Dock explosions are normally grain dust fuel or fertiliser
Beirut is a terrorist hot spot, so terrorists, Israel are always chasing the weapons terrorists use so Israel

It’s my opinion so I offered it
Thanks anyway

i was being very conservative as TNT:Ammonium nitrate isnt 1:1

just glad it wasnt worse than it was or something toxic, that red cloud made me very nervous this was some type of IED

This was apparently an HMX storage facility to the Iranians. Yet another piece of a puzzle. This is bigger than just an explosion.

Look to me it’s pretty clear, small munitions explosions started a fertiliser fire/explosion

A, caused by poor weapons handling by Hezbollah
B, caused by Israel
C, caused by simple chemical reaction

Israel may not have been involved at all, just a wild guess based on Palestine and Israeli relations. More than likely a weapons handling incident, maybe

It was just a guess knowing that Israel and Palestine are non to friendly

I live in Australia, just watched some amazingly shocking footage and guess what, I had a guess as to what happened based on my knowledge of Israel, Palestine and their history

Intentionally set fire, how the hell would I know?

Probably small arms munitions detonations leading to a fertiliser explosion, that’s it, simple.

More like 0.2:1 so around 550 tons TNT equivalent.

HMX doesnt really 'cook off' and is classified as an insensitive explosive so it would take another HIGH ORDER explosive to set it off and that would mean that it was a military strike and no one yet said they saw or heard any military strike type of sounds

that being said i wouldnt write off some sort of covert action by SOMEONE

Israel don’t need excuses, just shoot their target and leave. Pay any Arab hit to kill enemies, they don’t need to hide their tracks

Cover up, Israel are nearly a law unto themselves

i would have to agree something was cooking off right before they big explosion and i would put dollars to doughnuts that it wasnt fireworks
