I actually agree with this. Too much income disparity. Changes must be made, and soon!

It's nice to see Trump finally coming around to the idea of wealth redistribution. I mean I don't see any other way to interpret this tweet. But I'm sure Cult45 will be by shortly to tell us all what Trump actually meant; or that billionaires actually do have too much money and some of it needs to make its way down to the lower classes.

What he says is true. It doesn't indicate a desire to redistribute wealth.

I know. You do this just to troll people because you live a sad life. But i still feel a need to be truthful, even if you don't.

What you mean? Your swig off the magic 8 ball didn't give enough clarity to read his mind, now you want someone else to?

I can tell you what the tweet said. And I can imagine several ways that could mean something other than wealth redistribution.

Raising taxes on the silly, ridiculously, wealthy instead of reducing them?

I think he's going to make a case for the UBI.

I'll take the trade if we can actually get some working class/middle class tax reform. Like a payroll tax cut or total elimination thereof.

A concept he and the rest of the Right have essentially been vehemently arguing against for the past few months?

I mean that's pretty much what the regular stimulus checks and $600 unemployment bonus championed by the Left are.

Not everyone on the right is against this concept.

It's been in use in Alaska for a long time now.

Besides the concept of the UBI has been around a lot longer than our current political divisions.

I don't think SS and Medicare are solvent programs.

People should be saving for retirement in earnest not relying on SS which pays a pittance. God forbid you should need your SS.

That won't always be the case. Oil sucks right now because no one is going anywhere.

A payroll tax cut is more beneficial to higher earners. So it doesn't really do anything to fix the issue raised by Trump.

I'd be ok with eliminating income tax altogether.

There are other ways of getting revenue that doesn't require taking it directly from someone's check.

Yeah well. Things happen. I was building a pretty nice nest egg before my nephew screwed me.

Then there's things like medical costs which can take a very large bite. I haven't had to deal with that, fortunately.

My SS payments will not maintain my life style, but they'll help. As will medicare.

Reducing payroll taxes won't make either one any more solvent.

No, but we can fund those programs and not raid them like SS was in the 90s.
