I know who won the American Civil war!

Captain America did! It was a battle between the Red Group and the Blue Group.

Iron man was the Red Communist and Captain America is the Blue Republicans.

"When Capt America throws his mighty shield, all those who oppose his shield must yield."

Capt America is the government and Iron Man is corporate interests, they work together.

The Democrats created the Ku Klux Klan, and yet the Republicans were the Union.

And yet, who tf were the Confederates that were right wing, conservative, in the south, and for slavery?

Because the Union was Republicans, and yet the Union was centered in the Northeast, modern day Democrat areas.

The Democratic Party, well they didn't exist in the Civil War era. They must've been the evil Confederates because Democrats = evil.

It's pretty easy to answer, the Republican Party was originally the party of Progressivism. The change began during the Depression when they began to oppose Roosevelt's policies and the Democrat Party began to fracture into what would become the Dixiecrats and the Northern Progressive wings of the party.

So AOC and Bernie Sanders would've been Republican back then? Who would the Confederates be today?

The Republican Party wasn't that progressive back then, they probably would have been in the Socialist Party.

Who would the Confederates be today?

Same as then, conservative white southerners.

Thanks for posting this, Capt 33rd degree.
It has been such a lame and wrong meme around here.

The real winner in the Civil War, The War Between The States, The War of Southern Succession. . . . .

Was a guy named Carl. He actually was named the winner.

In a little known ceremony, President Abraham Lincoln named Carl the winner.

He received a trophy, a gift card to Starbucks (for 50 dollars), and a banjo.

Way to go Carl!

Way to go!

Republicans - Americans should be able to keep the fruits of their labors.
Democrats - Your clearly a racist, homophobe, Sexual Predator ect....
Independent - Cant we just be intelligent about how things are done?

Democrats have accused everyone under the sun of being racist at some point if they are not a dem. Republicans are acting more like the Dems everyday.

End of Political Debate.

If I remember correctly, the civil war was prevented in the first episode of the Back to the Future cartoon from the early 90s.

It was prevented when the opposing sides began recognizing each other as family, the rest of the details are fuzzy.

Thank you doc!

Carl married, but he and his bride were unable to produce children. Lonely, Carl funneled all his time and energy into his career, becoming a well-known restaurateur serving hamburgers and fries. Carl was known to lament "I love my restaurant as if it were the child I never had...like it was my Junior."

Now you know the rest of the story.
