in 2016, Homeland security deemed Antifa as doing domestic terrorist activities. That does not mean Obama had anything to do with classifying them as domestic terrorists, just Homeland Security. There is no way any president president knows everything every agency does in this country.

"A movement"...

Are you pro fascism?

a reply to: neutronflux

Dangerous for whom?

Anyone who attends a gathering meant to protest fascism.

And that regards large mobs, looting, burning, and being violent how? If you don’t want to be tagged a thug, don’t march with criminals committing illegal acts for all to see.

honestly i have just been copying and pasting things. Theyre 'sources' because I didnt write them. An opinion isn't really necessary in research until youve reached a conclusion. Having one so quickly or trying to assume I have one shows lack of research or respect for the critical thinking process.I just found it ironic that nothing is to be found on google on obama's opinion of antifa, ironic that it was Obama administration years of DHS, and also ironic that we can see from hindsight that truth really doesnt give a sh## about opinions.

But no, im not a fascist. I guess I would be a capitalist. The only definable difference from communism and fascism is that communism is class/economy based and fascism is race based. Is that correct? Anyways it just seems to me that as long a major power is capitalism then socialism will eventually lean towards communism. Honestly to me it seems fascism died in the 1950s on a relevancy scale (except indonesia? idk) and people are just copying mannerisms to
think 'smart' thoughts.

Yawn.

Rose City Antifa (RCA) was founded in Portland, Oregon in October of 2007

rosecityantifa.org...

twitter.com...

Here is a coded message (using a One Time Pad) to their field terrorists:

8F5E BC4E D035 D8B3 1930 C978 DCDB C13B 214E 8333

^The coded message consists of 18 characters. No doubt one of these vanilla revolutionaries will slip up and keep their codebook since they find it "oh so empowering" to be part of this criminal organization. At that point, all past present and future messages will be readable by the Feds.

Here's another service that caters to left-wing terror groups:

riseup.net...

Meets every definition of a criminal enterprise under existing RICO statutes:

www.justice.gov...

Here's another:

twitter.com...

"ASH Antifascists of the Seven Hills. Organizing to fight fascism, united in militant opposition"

blackblogs.org...

As well as dozens of others pages I routinely watch and report to local crime tip lines anonymously. Even managed to infilitrate a few as a "loyal supporter" and I'll have a nice juicy write-up on their activities, communications schemes and organization heirarchy based not on what they say, but what they do. They have specific tools, including mass-texting tools that cost thousands of dollars (or more in some cases)

You didn't, but you did claim there was no antifa. There is an antifa group. Yes, it is also an ideology. But the very fact they identify their group as "XYZ antifa" indicates there is a group called antifa.

They are also active internationally and in many US states. Their activities are coordinated. They use violence in place of politics.

It is textbook terrorism. They plan to overthrow our Republican form of government and replace it with socialism. This is patently unconstitutional and therefore unlawful no matter what means they go about achieving this objective, even if it wasn't through the use of violence (which it is)

I grew up with kids on the internet that were hacking at 12-14 years of age, and a few of them went on to do unimaginable things with crazy good jobs. One of them just had a kid with his girlfriend and is looking at 7 figure houses in california and he's just a few years past 30. I was on the internet when anonymous was relevant; I know how you think it should work lol. I also can say with full confidence that I will have the munchie food ready when a chivalrous hack takes place against them. The world wide web is a very, very, dominate force, and knowing how a computer works is still worth its weight in gold. I mean some people even believe that wikileaks changed the course of the 2016 election. I don't have much faith but the faith I have leads to neat information. Sadly I never learned how to code and was always the guy asking for the gaming cheats.

They're classified as a terrorist organization.

They're not an organization. ANTIFA is a catch all term that encompasses multiple organization and individuals that are anti-fascist.

That's a fact.

Although, it is convenient for Trump and his goon squad to try and lump all anti-fascists' into a terrorist group, it just doesn't work that way.

Hi.
Does this sound familiar?

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria video showed men attacking the artifacts, some of them identified as antiquities from the 7th century BC, with sledgehammers or drills, saying they were symbols of idolatry.

"The Prophet ordered us to get rid of statues and relics, and his companions did the same when they conquered countries after him," an unidentified man said in the video.

www.cbc.ca...
You could replace the word [Prophet] with Pelosi.

Define a Pelosi: Puts Cheetos in their place.

No I didn't. I claimed that ANTIFA is a catch all term that encompasses all kinds of anti-fascist groups and individuals. ANTIFA is a "movement", not one big organization that all anti-fascists belong to.

They also back communism/socialism which is equally horrible as fascism, use its symbology/talking points/propaganda and advance its goals.

I fail to see the distinction. "The Mafia" was never an organization in the US either, there were merely many "crime families" operating illegal rackets under that encompassing term. That didn't stop the Feds from (mostly) taking them down and using the umbrella term.

Whatever groups are operating under the umbrella term "antifa" lets not get hung up on semantics. These are very bad people working toward very bad ends. And the more time the left in general wastes on denouncing them the harder it will be to appear as though they aren't supporting them.

Do you think the images of violence in Portland, et al hurt or help the democratic candidate?

There is no "Antifa" group.

They use to have websites in every city, and one of their key Tenants was to fight fascist by any means including violence. Its all gone now so do you think they are gone? The problem is they determine what fascist is...

Not trying to argue, who are these groups with formal support do you think are who are rioting in Portland? I live here, so I kind of want your perspective on it.

And doesn't it all seem a little pointless? I could declare myself "anti-Zeta-Reticulan" but what is the purpose?

Since there aren't any real fascists in this country, doesn't it seem more likely as a way to falsely label individuals with this moniker and then use that false label as a justification to attack their political rivals?

Sure, there may be a handful of isolatd loonies that would be considered "fascists" but they certainly don't have any power. And since this is the US, you are free to practice whatever terrible belief system you want. This is the exclusive reason communists and socialists haven't been rounded up and arrested or worse. Of course while they are free to practice the ideology of their choice, they are *not* free to impose it on the rest of us through any means since our Constitution requires a "Republican form of government" Per Article IV Section IV US Constitution but that's another story

I think you can say that about any terrorist group that has many cells, but run with the same ideology. If they didn't use violence then all is good wouldn't you say?

Like I said, there are all kinds of groups representing all kinds of things out there. They're not all members of ANTIFA and organized by some nefarious "ANTIFA" leadership.

Someone organized your Wall of Moms, and someone else organized the Wall of Vets. Someone organized the Proud Boys and someone organized the Not F---ing Around Coalition.
