POS kneels on baby neck.

The above thread got me thinking.
We have a world going crazy, massive unemployment, mounting debt, continual lockdown of people due to a virus. Fascist police worldwide using a mild virus to test their powers and the people resolve on exercising their freedoms.

Vying for military dominance between China and US.
I think they’re actually running simulations for the economic collapse, which will dwarf the 1920s depression.

World Debt $US 188 Trillions World Derivastives of over 1 Quadrillion.

goldsilver.com...#:~:text=When%20you%20include%20financial%20derivatives,d ollars%20is%201%2C000%20trillion%20dollars.

I’m rapidly losing my usual optimism
Bare in mind this did not happen overnight, but like frogs we are slowly being boiled alive.
Not singling out the States but the powerful words of Steppenwolf saw the writing on the wall

Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of Kingdom and pope
Like good Christians some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches
But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands, to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light
And once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon it went
And till the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end
While we bullied, stole and bought a homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man
But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
But she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light
The Blue and Grey they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war was over
They stuffed it just like a hog
And though the past has its share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But its protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it's a monster and will not obey
The spirit was freedom and justice
And its keepers seemed generous and kind
Its leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won't pay it no mind
Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
Now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it's all just an echo of what they've been told
Yeah, there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose
And it just sits there watchin'
The cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin' the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can't understand
We don't know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole world's got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who's the winner we can't pay the cost
'Cause there's a monster on the loose
It's got our heads into the noose
And it just sits there watchin'
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
America, where are you now
Don't you care about your sons and daughters
Don't you know we need you now
We can't fight alone against the monster
America...America...America...America..

You can't let this stuff get to you.

It's a void of darkness that will suck your Soul out and drive you mad.

How about we take a breather and go outside and watch nature awhile?

All of this is an illusion and delusion.
Don't worry so much.

Its not so much worry but the lack of optimism. I don't see the next few years with optimism.
The coming crash will be ugly.

Usually a precursor to war.

It means something to me what you wrote after what you've gone through, thannks

the worlds been running towards a cliff for a very long time and i see no way of stopping it. at least people are finally becoming aware of the threat that is china though. the next war is going to be like nothing weve seen in recorded history and who knows maybe it will knock the population back just enough so we can do this all over again, like the highwayman

Humans haven't evolved enough as a species to do things peacefully. We need a reset imo, and hope that the next breed of human can learn from our mistakes.

Its getting really crazy on this side of pond too. Must be the lead in the air we have been breathing.
Something is crashing though, the sad part is its right in front of us and we can't see it.

We can see it. All it'll take is a spooking of the stock exchange; then the bloodbath

You probably know the rich have tried to get into New Zealand . They can come in by private plane, not sure how they pass imigration though.

I think that if you can afford a private jet and can get anywhere that you want, then immigration is probably easy to buy off the right people. That seems to be how the world is working.

Five words keep running through my head, and have for some time now:

"These things must needs be"

Take that for what you will.

It does seem futile and inevitable. Like past crashes wealth will be even more concentrated in the same hands

Just how many resets is it going to take?
The last ice age didn't do it.
The black death didn't do it.
WW1+2 didnt do it.

As much as many of us would like to be,I doubt we will ever be a "peaceful"species as a whole.
I recently watched the excellent Ken Burns Vietnam docu series, and one line stuck with me-a soldier recalled his time in Nam,and he said-
"One thing I learned about humans is that we didn't get to be the dominant lifeform on Earth by being nice."

He was right-we got to this point because we are a bloodthirsty warrior species, willing and able to be more violent and territorial than any other species on the planet.

Yes that's a powerful line, I'll have a look at that doc 👍🏼

In that case maybe we need to be permanently or repeatedly eradicated, like cockroaches.

Its a good documentary, although depressing-It really illustrates the idea that history repeats itself.
The exact same stuff is going today as was then, race inequality/riots/police brutality, incompetent at best greedy evil bastards at worse politicians, communist panic.
The use of war to "save face."
As I was watching it I was thinking-all we need is a big war against an Asian country and we are basically in the reboot of those times.
And the way things are going with China these days we may not have that long to wait.

Its no wonder the aliens haven't made themselves known-If you found a planet with billions of aggresive predators merrily tearing each other apart over and over again, would you really want to land and say "Hi,we are your friendly galactic neighbors"?
No,neither would I.
