Democrats say they would rather have a Dementia-cursed socialist like Joe Biden as President, than Donald Trump as President.

Republicans say they would rather have an erratic exaggerator like President Trump as President, than Joe Biden as President.

Democrats feel anyone is preferable to President Trump and his policies.

Republicans feel anyone is preferable to Joe Biden and his policies.

A CHASM LIKE THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CLOSE.

In fact, I don't think most Americans want the divide closed, because it would mean "compromising" on core values.

Are Trump supporters willing to "compromise" by giving up 50% of our guns, instead of all of them? NOPE!

Are Biden supporters willing to "meet in the middle" by murdering 50% fewer unborn children? NOPE!

What about you, ATS members? If you're for BIDEN or TRUMP, are there big-ticket policy areas, or core-beliefs, where you are willing to "meet in the middle"...to compromise?

Personally, the only thing that I'm willing to compromise on is healthcare. A government-run "public option" to replace ObamaCare is an excellent idea, so long as free-market private health insurance returns.

Que the fake alien invasion.
Where the head blue beam hologram alien leader floats down and tells the world that he is God.
And then tells the world that Kanye is his son.
Who has come back.
To end abortion.
And legalize Pot on federal level.
Oh, Ye.

I think 50% of the votes will be for "anyone but him" that goes for both candidates.

Ditto I would rather have a wind bag pro American who has entrench GOPers as never Trumpers than someone who will be controlled by Shummer and Sanfran Nancy who will be controlled by AOC and her American hatting posse.

The 2020 election is and will be a #show, there's no way to make any sense of it. You guys invest entirely too much brainpower, emotion, and finger tapping calories into something you have no influence on. It's your future, I completely understand.

Covid-19 pandemic ruined Trump's magnificent economy, then the BLM protests and riots, with Biden currently picking between 4 African-American women for his VP.

Because, you know, black plus female for the win. Things couldn't be more polarized and haphazard. In MY opinion, neither candidate is a good fit for President and devalues the Presidency. These guys need damage control and handlers to clean up their messes, attempt to implement their policies.

In the case of Trump, he just talks out of his ass entirely too much with unpopular opinions on everything under the sun, especially on twitter. He's truly made the Presidency some kind of reality show debacle here in the last year.

With politics and people being so polarized, should Biden win, there's going to be a freakish 4 years of liberal weirdness going on because how do you inherit and restructure things from Trump when you're an old ass man that has mental impairment.

In the end, all I know is that there's men and women who will make sure that the train stays on the tracks for continuinity of our society.

I think you need to cool it with the murdering babies bs.
Or any other bs you wouldn't get away with saying in person.
You sound like a little kid swearing for attention.

You can't talk me into voting for Biden, because Biden won't be the President. He'll be a rubber-stamp for whatever his handlers place on the Resolute desk.

And once he gaffes too many times, he will be escorted out the door by invoking the 25th and we would get whoever his handlers picked as the VP.

I'm sure Joe is a nice guy, but he's just a sock puppet at this point.

Infrastructure. I think most Americans agree that our infrastructure is in dire need of repair. Trump campaigned on infrastructure in a big way in 2016(one of the areas I soundly agreed with him on) but I didn't like the couple propositions he brought to the table.

Fixing our infrastructure is a colossal undertaking that will cost a lot of money but it will create a ton of jobs and I think increase the public morale when Americans can actually see progress being made.

Here is the biggie.... 28% of voters voted for Hillary and 27% voted for Trump. We can say the 28% for Hillary are the die hard Hillary fans, and WILL vote for Biden even if he is dead, Hillary/Biden no matter what. Trump on the other hand was a mix of "anyone but Hillary" and what the libs call the Trump bootlickers. I would venture to say a good amount of his 27% were the "anyone but Hillary" crowd.

What this means is 44% of possible voters voted for none of above, so now we come four years later and we see that Trump is still Trump in all his ways, BUT he actually has stuck to his promises as much as possable, we are not in WWIII, he is hard on China, has done more for minorities than the last 4 President, maybe much more...But Trump is still Trump with his tweets, over exaggerations etc., BUT has done a pretty good job in many different directions.

So 2020 comes along... Portland is protesting/rioting for like 50 days, Trump sends in feds, and is called a fascist by the woke left, but not the other 70%+ of voters, Biden would not do that and that really isn't inline with the silent majority... I would say the protesters are well under 500, but Portland is 700,000 people... These Protesters must not have jobs...lol as the other 699,000+ go to work each day and take care of their families etc....

What will be the end result in the 2020 voting as we see this same scenario play out in many other cities. There is still that 44% who surely will not want Biden as much as they did not want Hillary maybe more, so what will the vote be? If Biden wins I'll be shocked that the silent majority that actually needs to work, take care of their families will want Biden over Trump who right now is a known variable..We kind of know what we will get with Trump...Still hard on China, reduced regulations, prosperity for many...Bad tweets and over exaggerations, but with a good chance we are out of our 20+ year wars, continued REAL minority support, not the "you ain't black if you don't vote Biden" support.

Biden could win and for me it means nothing, I'm bullet proof either way, but damn there are a lot of Americans who I think will hold their noses to Trumps tweets if he delivers as he has so far, and so what will that 44% do who at least 22% are not inline with the woke left even when they been a democrat their whole lives...

Just my two cents...

I thought about something similar- I came to the conclusion that I would give up my personal armament to save as many children as I could ( worry free) one to infinity. But I would never expect nor demand that others follow my actions in any way.

Right now Trump has $108,123,209.51 in hand

Biden has $82,428,452.85

How and where they spend this and whoever is left that's undecided will likely decide an incredibly close race. I just don't see how the DNC can hide Biden away till the election, if they do he won't win and if he gets out there and sounds so out of it he loses too. Too much uncertainty as it is at least. Trump right now is the devil we do know, about the only thing the left has going is there may be some protest fatigue, where people want that to go away.

And no there is no easy way to close the divide, so you just have to power through it, pretty sure the left will be extremely foul and nasty if Trump wins. Would not doubt shenanigans from the left, and as for Trump, they are watching him like a hawk and will scream he cheater if he wins, LOL they are already floating International interference from Schiff and others. Any means necessary ...Trump victory will likely include an October surprise and a huge gaffe by Biden.

What would you do if threatened by a mob of 3500 people who trespassed on their property hell bent on killing your family and dog like in St. Lewis when they called 911 there was a no show by police. Their only defense was their personal armaments, there were no children in that mob of unpeacefull life threatening protesters who tore down a private fence gate to get onto the property? I for one refuse to become a statistic for what a towns legal athority calls a peaceful protest.

I would never compromise the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. Especially the 1st and 2nd amendments. I don’t care about healthcare that much as long as there is still a private option. I don’t want the government in charge of my healthcare...period.
