As a self hating Australian I'm a little upset about American racism taking the headlines all the time.

Why doesn't anyone care about Aboriginals?

There's riots in the streets in the States because a criminal was treated with excessive force from a guy half his size.

The ongoing genocide of the Aboriginal people?

To be fair, I haven't done nothing for them either.
It's a bit of a rant post, the only new information I can offer is...

Gubber is the Aboriginal term for peckerwood.

Edit to ad, it is A term, not THE term. There's farmer Joe, casper etc. Etc.

In answer to the question in your thread title: Of course not!

BLM only cares about one thing, and it's not black lives. It's not any lives, for that matter. Their one and only drive is a destructive Marxist agenda. They will destroy and then will have nothing to rebuild with.

If you still think that the whole thing has anything to do with race, you need to wake up. Race is a tool, and the ignoramuses who are riding that pony will soon be thrown off and too the ground.

I think if you polled BLM activists about the plight of Aborigines there would be one very frequent response.

The who?

BLM is not about black lives.

I got 1 minute in and then I realised you were a kiwi.

Fair call. Lots of lessons to be had by those wise Maoris that ate the original inhabitants.

Apologies, didn't realise you were a Steve Nash fan.

But kiwis and kanuks seem to be pretty close.

Kiwis are from hawaii and they ate New Zealanders.

That's the history.
Simplified and missing all nuance...
But that's the history.

Edit...

Thanks again for responding, that video would be amazing to someone who wasn't a dirty kiwi.

Unfortunately I don't fit into that category.

It might if you use the video this article to gain support.

Discretion advised, this is actually pretty sad.

www.theguardian.com...

This seems to show complicit mistreatment even among medical professionals swearing hippocratic oaths. Must not apply.

Could have even been victim of a "cry wolf" pattern repeated among detained drug addicts to prompt lack of seriousness taken. That's a stretch though.

Where are you from.

Sorry, but if I want to prove to you that I'm above racism I need to know what race you are first so that I can formulate my argument.

It certainly isn't written on my profile...

The US State of Arizona originally, California last 11 years.

My make up is 50% Italian, 25% Sicilian, and 25% English.

I don't see that as a racist comment, actually. There is tendency to pervert anything and mold it's socio-political uses. And front and center of this all is the memeplex ("viral") nature of the socio-political movements.

Aborigines must not enter the global social consciousness enough.

While protesters would fight me on this, the same way of thinking that is bringing you BLM, brought you; The 1960's (anti-war and civil rights movement), The Witch Trials, The Inquisition, and The Crusades.

I am interested in your comment.

Please do. Insinuate all racial stereotypes, especially the cosa nostra one. What a cool stereotype to get.

To what I think your point is my family is nothing but prejudice.

My Mom is 50% Sicilian and 50% Calabrese. My father is 50% Northern Italian and 50% British on his mom's side.

My father was treated like a "red headed step child" for being the unholy product of a Catholic and a Protestant. His mother was chased out of his family and replaced by his 2nd cousin from Genoa. And I am not making that up. From that point on he was Cinderella, and eventually disowned for marrying a Sicilian, even though she catholic.

And that was par for the course in the late 40's through 70's.

And you can also call some of my completely estranged family inbred!

How to learn from Indigenous people about the Black Lives Matter movement in Australia

Our storytelling is intricately linked with the Black Lives Matter movement because it demonstrates our ways of expression, and it is a movement that tells the truth about our experiences," Ms Reid says.

With access to a plethora of resources, it's no longer about raising awareness, but using these resources to create change.
